If it got out he would be cancelled. Doug’s personal account is now the official Red Dwarf Twitter account. Red Dwarf. And shit Kryten jokes must mean ‘is’. Red Dwarf is cancelled. Duane Dibbley then wakes up to discover that Ace Rimmer was just a very elaborate dream HE was having. Bob Newhart then wakes up to discover that Duane Dibbley was just a very elaborate dream HE was having. The camera zooms out to reveal Tommy Westphall playing with a snowglobe. February 12, 2021 at 7:43 am in reply to: A Red Dwarf, Alan Partridge Crossover? #264150 peepingsignalParticipant A Red Dwarf/Other sitcom crossover thread is the greatest idea ever. What about….It’s Always Sunny on Red Dwarf? The gang tries to create a teleporter to stop them having to walk to the bar and back for work each day but they balls it up and end up on Red Dwarf. Charlie and Kryten fight over janitorial duties, Dennis and Rimmer just sneer at everyone, Cat chases Dee around all day cos she’s a bird (LOL) Mac and Lister just drink beer and Frank and Holly argue about the rules of poker. At the end the Sunny gang are accidentally sucked out of an airlock and into a nearby sun, whereby Lister quips ‘Well they like it Sunny, but that didn’t look fun to me’ the other dwarfers chuckle and then completely forget they ever existed. Is there something wrong with me if I unironicly want this? February 3, 2020 at 3:13 am in reply to: CBS Red Dwarf reboot rumour #257458 peepingsignalParticipant >Jawscvmcdia? Nah, the post didn’t end in “do you think?” January 30, 2020 at 11:16 pm in reply to: bad news about Australian "Stan" streaming service #257429 peepingsignalParticipant Just to update this: I’ve been watching through on Stan and it appears that literally only Backwards is the remastered version, very similar to how UKTV showed just Marooned remastered. Very strange. October 18, 2019 at 2:09 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #255184 peepingsignalParticipant WHAT THE CHRIST!? A G&T user enters the “Idea for an episode” thread for the first time in around two years and is gobsmacked at the sheer size of it. Oh, uh, and Jesus returns to help the Dwarfers with their laundry or something, but there’s an eViL jEsUs who has snuck on board too!! June 11, 2019 at 1:04 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #250616 peepingsignalParticipant ACH’ACHACH ACHACH (Translation: BLIND DATE) Starbug is captured by an advanced tribe of GELFs who force Lister into their version of a Dating Game Show where he is reunited with his GELF Bride. “Change of plan, leg it” happens three times, each in increasingly absurd situations. February 15, 2018 at 10:21 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #227704 peepingsignalParticipant FLIBBLE’S ELEVEN Mr. Flibble needs cash to fund his Wisdom Tooth extraction, so he recruits a team of robbers including the likes of Pythagoras, Nicholas Lyndhurst, and that woman who eats her bun backwards in Backwards, to break into the newly-discovered Gold Reserve on Level 21. The episode’s rating was changed to PG-13 from R after production so all but one of Flibble’s Hex Murders were cut from the final product. 5.7/10 on IMDB. November 3, 2017 at 1:34 pm in reply to: Who would win in a fight? #223615 peepingsignalParticipant Dr. Jaws C.V. McDia; You say ‘involving’ in your question, does this mean that non-Red Dwarf people are included in this fight? If so, can people outside the main four win this fight? If the answer is yes, I put 10 bucks on Stone Cold Steve Austin. October 8, 2017 at 2:44 pm in reply to: What is it with Kryten's 'hands on chest' pose? #222711 peepingsignalParticipant Incedentally, David Ross went on to play Kryten’s parallel universe counterpart Crouton in Series IV’s “Cloche: Parallel Universe II” October 8, 2017 at 2:40 pm in reply to: How well does Series 10 hold up now? #222710 peepingsignalParticipant Series 10? Series 10 was YEARS ago. We’re far more concerned at the moment about the quite hideous thing that’s happened to Series 12. September 29, 2017 at 2:11 am in reply to: Do you do the whole introduce yourself thing? #222163 peepingsignalParticipant I’ve been here for close to a decade but why not: Bonjour, je m’appelle Brayds2006 (which was really short-sighted, makes me look like I was was BORN in 2006. It’s pink and it’s moist and it’s in my head, and that’s where it’s staying! You know what you want. You want to squeeze my three separate opinions together, to make one juicy giant opinion. September 25, 2017 at 1:58 pm in reply to: Please view this thread to read title. #221878 peepingsignalParticipant To Ganymede and Titan, yes sir I’ve been aro- Lister, have you ever combined three separate people’s opinions into one? No? Shut up and push the trolley. September 23, 2017 at 3:01 pm in reply to: Please view this thread to read title. #221800 peepingsignalParticipant What I’m saying Jawscvmcdia is, it’s better to have loved and lost than to combine three separate people’s opinions into one. Anything’s better than combining three separate people’s opinions into one. September 23, 2017 at 1:27 pm in reply to: Please view this thread to read title. #221793 peepingsignalParticipant I, a separate person, nominate this thread for another person’s opinion. September 22, 2017 at 4:20 am in reply to: Please view this thread to read title. #221729 peepingsignalParticipant SMEG But seriously though why did you combine them? September 11, 2017 at 1:59 am in reply to: The avoidable problem with Red Dwarf #221189 peepingsignalParticipant If I were to three episodes of Red Dwarf, four episodes of Noel’s House Party and a Corrie omnibus, could I get a third season of House of Fools? September 11, 2017 at 1:51 am in reply to: Which version of Norman's Holly do you prefer? #221188 peepingsignalParticipant Those bits in the storyboards where Chris Barrie plays him. September 9, 2017 at 11:04 am in reply to: The avoidable problem with Red Dwarf #221128 peepingsignalParticipant Depends on what stories those ten books are based on. I was going to make a joke here about “lol all the books are VII and VIII” but I thought that if they were fleshed out like the actual RD books, maybe they wouldn’t be so bad? September 8, 2017 at 10:54 am in reply to: Why were Lister, Rimmer and Kochanski left behind in “Only The Good…†#221103 peepingsignalParticipant Pair that font with a cover of the theme song played on a ukulele and a triangle and you have a punchable TV show. September 8, 2017 at 10:51 am in reply to: The avoidable problem with Red Dwarf #221102 peepingsignalParticipant If only Television was never invented, then we wouldn’t be here voicing our hate of the Medibot. We’d have just thought of him as an OK character from the 10th Red Dwarf book. September 7, 2017 at 3:23 am in reply to: Why were Lister, Rimmer and Kochanski left behind in “Only The Good…†#221071 peepingsignalParticipant > I have no idea what this is but I’m curious. It’s basically this: http://www.dafont.com/dk-running-hipster.font September 1, 2017 at 12:04 am in reply to: Why were Lister, Rimmer and Kochanski left behind in “Only The Good…†#220863 peepingsignalParticipant I’m also interested to find out how they’ll find worse fonts to replace the already terrible ones with. Comic Sans. Or that font that you see in every Indie film and Hipster cafe these days. August 31, 2017 at 10:11 am in reply to: Why were Lister, Rimmer and Kochanski left behind in “Only The Good…†#220849 peepingsignalParticipant My favourite bit of VIII Remastered will be in Cassandra when they film new scenes to replace Geraldine McEwan with Zoe Wanamaker. Also when she dies they’ll have her do the Spinning Beach Ball face. August 11, 2017 at 9:09 am in reply to: Test #220459 peepingsignalParticipant Should Red Dwarf have continued after Steptoe and Son? November 23, 2016 at 1:51 pm in reply to: Has Doug bitten off more than he can chew? #218598 peepingsignalParticipant But those mistakes aren’t his fault. Shipping delays from the shop are to do with the shop, the episode titles error has to to with the DVD distributor. Krysis going up a day early is UKTV’s doing. I will say you might have a point though. While I think Doug’s direction’s improved greatly for XI, it might not be the worst idea to get Ed back or to find somebody else to direct so Doug can focus on scripts. I agree with the opinion I’ve seen on here that some episodes were another draft away from being fantastic. Maybe that could happen. Or maybe it wouldn’t make a difference. I don’t know a great deal about the making of a sitcom. If Doug feels confident to do both then more power to him. Frankly I just want Ed back so he can be involved in the Series documentaries again. November 18, 2016 at 11:24 am in reply to: I like uniformity! #218536 peepingsignalParticipant Surely Kerry Shale’s Medi-Bot would be a better choice for the new series. …probably the only time that sentence will ever be written.
