The sacrificing his own grandson really upset me. Not because of the actual child, but the way that he coldly ignored his daughter’s cries and screams as he allowed her son to be killed in front of her. But he’d just lost Ianto, so we can feel sorry for him or hate him. Either way, if the government hadn’t acted like a bunch of retards and just asked him to help in the first place instead of trying to seal him into concrete cells and the like… well, you know.

Heheh. Nah, the whole “thing” between her and Jack annoyed me. Also, Rhys(or Rees, not sure if we’re going with the Welsh spelling) is underrated – he’s just a very “normal” (or boring), real person, but he takes the whole alien thing pretty well and does a good job of helping out (kind of). Plus his whole speech to Gwen about how she was fighting so that people could still lead normal lives, so if she didn’t want a normal life herself what was the point etc, brought my respect for his character up… and Gwen just cheated on him left, right and centre, despite fiercely maintaining that she wanted to marry him.
Can someone tell me when Jack knows about the Face of Boe? He does say they used to call him that, in series 2 I think, it’s definitely when Rose was there… I need to watch again. But I can’t remember Jack ever being in the same place or time as FoB, so it’s possible that he was ignorant about his existence…

He doesn’t KNOW he’s going to become FoB, though? And we just assumed that he slowly ages so much that he becomes a massive face. Obviously ^_^
There are a lot of crazy fangirls trying to delude themselves into ways of bringing Ianto back. He was cool, to be fair (and Welsh). And it won’t be the same without the Owen/Tosh sexual tension, and Gwen is a massive slag. Soooo…. they’d better bring in some new characters, preferably David Tennant, but that ain’t gonna happen :(… there’ll probably be a lot more homoerotic kissing, too, hopefully.

Percy, I have a 2:1 and I STILL get rejected from places like that. Geez, the amount of crap jobs I have applied for and never even had an interview. Some people say that having a degree puts them off because they know you won’t settle for their shitty job in the long run… still, though, it’s hardly fair is it – “sorry, you’re too intelligent for this job”, while the “better” jobs don’t think you’re good enough. Even worse is when you go into a place that rejected your application, and the person working there is a complete tool.

I knoooooow. But I’m nice, and they should just *know* that. And now I’ve paid for it so I can’t just go to the shop and get one from there, although last time I bought a phone from a phone shop I wanted to kick the sales girl in the head. I had a train to catch, and she took about 40 minutes before I could buy the damn thing, confirming secret answers over the phone to some man because I didn’t remember my password, which surely shouldn’t matter if I’m buying a brand new phone!

Most people still don’t know who Derren is. Then again these are mostly the same people who haven’t heard of Dwarf, their idea of good TV being X Factor and Hollyoaks, so you know…
Derren more mainstream? I don’t know. I think he might just be taking advantage of the offers he’s had, better showing hours, airtime, whatever. But his material is getting a bit less impressive at the moment… predicting the Lottery numbers is impressive, of course, but nobody actually believes he did that, right? Mind you, you should still go see his live show, it’s a different experience actually being in the room, seeing people from the audience fall for the stuff you watch on TV and think is all fake. Unless most of the audience were stooges… nah.
The sad thing is that it’s very hard to find a nice, underrated thing (book, TV show, band) and keep them as your own forever – eventually, it seems, some producer realises there’s an opportunity and cashes in on it, the band/star/author sells out, and then really annoying people start talking about it as if it’s a totally new thing.

Wow. Nice first impression. Rotten cunt… yum…
Yes, I am very much Welsh. I don’t live there now, but my parents made sure I could never escape my roots with this darned name (actually Gwyneth)!
Well, vaginas and breasts aren’t a must in a partner for me, as long as there’s cock there instead. Or even as well. I don’t discriminate, it’s all about the person. Obviously I would wait until I had decided that the person was attractive, nice and we were getting on until I slipped “so, do you like Red Dwarf?” into the conversation, not just walk through people on the street until someone said yes!

Well, my first criteria for a man/woman love interest thing is liking of Red Dwarf. If they don’t like it, then they don’t get any. It might sound silly to others, but I’m sure you all understand ;)

Was there one this Friday, too? Obviously DJ took priority ;)…
Derren Brown is amazing. I have touched him. Other than that very useful contribution, I’m not sure whether I believed that Derren actually fucked up. He often pretends to have made a big mistake, only to reveal that what he was in fact predicting or controlling is a completely differnt (and more impressive) variable. In this case, if it was actually live, I’m not so sure.
“The Events” are not his most impressive work. The “glued to the chair” thing did nothing for me, and the Lottery numbers… well… logic says that it had to be fixed. The explanation he gave made very little sense…
