It also seems (possibly, not sure) that the lead dev is the same guy that got in the news when he tried to sell his soul on eBay years ago. Point of these shit words are: I can’t find any trace of Virtual Slob anywhere – let alone any screenshots – so if any of you fuckers have any, I’m seconding the “cough ’em up” request… March 3, 2021 at 1:19 pm in reply to: Unanswered Questions #264520 JEZZMUNDParticipant Couple of Red Dwarf connections with Outland … Video of Bill talking about it Interesting bit with Martin talking about being able to polish up Zinc plate primer – never occurred to me before. September 22, 2016 at 8:02 pm in reply to: Let’s Talk About Red Dwarf XI: The Game #216217 JEZZMUNDParticipant Ugh… the car levels were fucking awful. If you slow to a stop it’ll often bug and stop moving no matter what you do. The sneaky levels are a bitch though… September 22, 2016 at 6:39 pm in reply to: Let’s Talk About Red Dwarf XI: The Game #216211 JEZZMUNDParticipant Anyone else seeing typos and cringing like fuck? February 18, 2013 at 3:29 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf is a device invented by bank managers to make us overdrawn #206408 JEZZMUNDParticipant That’s not a limerick! February 17, 2013 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Oh, THAT. #206381 JEZZMUNDParticipant Or is it that Rimmer is just woefully incompetent, and any third technician should be more than qualified to perform that maintenance? Or that i’m going to win biddage for this? lol That’s sorely tempting though. and me likey… a lot. I might back out graciously on this one though, let someone else take the glory, someone with space for it on the wall – and space below it for my bed… ;) July 5, 2012 at 12:27 am in reply to: Collectible item from original Red Dwarf model #116806 JEZZMUNDParticipant Just realised i never followed up after demanding pictures, (i was too busy drooling) That’s in remarkably good condition for what it is – considerably better than i’d expected to see! Without a shadow of a doubt it’s worth more than i’d previously hedged at. If you were to eBay this i seriously recommend putting a 6-800 quid reserve on it before you think about anything else. As for a value – like i said before, it’s all subjective. but a conservative pricetag would probably be about 1000 quid- given the market at the minute you’d be lucky to get up near the 2 grand mark, either by eBay or via private selling. If you choose to approach a prop reseller (like the propstore, though i don’t know if they’re reselling or buying or whatever) they would probably promise a resale value of 3-5 thousand. but that would most likely take several months to sell and you would pay a considerable amount in dealers fees. Like Seb said before though – anything less than a grand would be a shame. I suppose it all depends on how quickly you need to sell it, and how greedy you’re feeling about what was, essentially, skip fodder… I have to ask; Made any decisions about this yet? (you must have had severalty offers!) Also – have you considered bringing it to one of the conventions and possibly having TORDFC auction it? I’m stone-cold-steve-certain that everyone would get a kick out of it being viewable for a day or three (though we’d probably have to put towels on the floor in front of it). June 24, 2012 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Collectible item from original Red Dwarf model #116872 JEZZMUNDParticipant I hate answering these sorts of questions, Value is subjective for something as rare and unique as that. If you were to approach someone like the propstore to sell it for you, they would probably tag it up for about a grand. The chances of it getting bought for that though are slim at best – or would be a slow sale. I reckon about 300 would be a good start, up to 5 or 600 would be a realistic price, but as with all things like this it’s about what someone is willing to pay for it… Pictures would make a massive difference to guesstimating a price tag, When can you get some uploaded? And how would you be wanting to sell it? (private email offers, or eBay etc) I’m happy to help you price it up, More info needed! January 21, 2012 at 2:14 am in reply to: Red Dwarf film … Infinity Welcomes Careful drivers … Series X #114400 JEZZMUNDParticipant I think it’s a horrible idea, Infinity wouldn’t work so well as a film in my eyes, It’s of a different storytelling universe and would be of a totally different canon to the TV series, Plus a reboot would be a horrible thing – especially as ‘Dwarf is gaining momentum off its (Dougs) own back again – I’d much rather see the RD movie script made with the current cast than suffer the anal surgery of seeing other actors massacre the roles we all know and love… and Tennant as Rimmer? Really?! January 20, 2012 at 3:32 pm in reply to: Any friendly G&T’ers… #114385 JEZZMUNDParticipant I’m afraid I have to disagree with everything you just said… They also eat babies, and love Gannon and egg. Fascist Dictator Monthly? DivaDroid Product catalogue 3012? The Foaming Twat Archives? January 20, 2012 at 3:17 am in reply to: Attention Ladymen and Gentlebeans – Your opinions please… #114372 JEZZMUNDParticipant what about Glitterpaedia? January 19, 2012 at 9:34 pm in reply to: Attention Ladymen and Gentlebeans – Your opinions please… #114348 JEZZMUNDParticipant You’re a domain :P besides – what do you think i am – rich? January 15, 2012 at 11:43 am in reply to: Need help identifying a prop #114246 JEZZMUNDParticipant I seriously doubt that, If it was screen used by one of the main cast Propstore would have used that as an excuse to grossly increase the sale price and as such would have plastered all over it “OMG Listers gun! Roflols!” (obv. Those exact words) I’m also fairly certain that there were several of these made for the filming, though i could be wrong! In all likelihood it’s probably was used by some/one of the canaries extras – I’d guess from Cassandra. Signed: a massive collector. P.s. can i haz it? June 30, 2011 at 7:13 pm in reply to: Team Fortress 2 is now free to play on PC and Mac #112643 JEZZMUNDParticipant AS much as i thought making TF2 free to play was going to be a pain (i assumed the influx of n00bs would be the same all over again) I reckon Cappsy’s right – for the most part the maps are so well balanced that it makes little to no change in the overall game by having a mix of different player abilities.. I’ve also had my faith restored in Valve’s team balancing mechanic – rather than a random switcharoonie, shuffling is done with regard to player ability… nice. June 23, 2011 at 10:33 am in reply to: Game of Thrones #112604 JEZZMUNDParticipant Thanks to teh interwebs – i’m watching ’em right now, Ep 3. Must agree – they are pretty bloody good. I’ve never read any of the books though – they’re on a definite ‘to read’ list… on a similar thread – anyone seen of of that Camelot yet? if so – any good? It’s just a shame it was in a bollocks episode. I am in agreement with these words or sentiments, as is Doug if he’s revisiting the premise… April 15, 2011 at 6:44 pm in reply to: Caption Competition #111828 JEZZMUNDParticipant I’m thinking “go on, touch it” is more likely, Though i’m finding it hard to work out how seb’s got they three looking so fucking captivated… Author Replies Viewing 34 replies - 1 through 34 (of 34 total)
