This time tomorrow we’ll all have watched it, watched it again on Dave Ja Vu and will be watching it twice again within the hour as well. Unreal.

IX must feature in it in some shape or form, then.

Yeah, it does colour your attitude somewhat when you watch them again.

Bill Bailey’s inclusion would also perhaps annoy Norm even more, since I guess the two are friends or at least on good terms.

That’s amazingly hilarious. Fuck him and the ball he so desperately wants back. Hopefully they’ll be more from Hattie in some form or other in the future.

And they’re all pretty cheap now I think, plus although I have no idea about Netflix I imagine you don’t get all the sexual extras. Do it now.

Well I decided to watch the feature-length ones where appropriate, so some of it was worse than it should have been had I stuck the my original plan.

I went the one a day route, but mistimed it so finished VIII last week sometime. VIII was rather a chore, and Beyond a Joke was a thousand times worse than I remember.

Yeah I guessed that is was probably money. Doesn’t stop it being fail though. Plus I bet there’s another AVP and more fail. If they must persist they may as well just have colonial marines storming the Alien’s home world which is also under siege by Preds. Fuck, just do it as a cartoon even. Or something.

Alien 3 is only slightly not as good as the first two. It gets so much better with time.

And regarding Alien 5, didn’t both Ridley Scott and James Cameron say they would sort of combine their talents for it, and Fox went with AVP in stead? I think that is roughly accurate, and it is fail.

Paid about triple that for mine. Oh well, worth every penny.

Resurrection I don’t mind too much even though it’s isn’t that good. The best bits are the relationship between Ripley and Call.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is still some new stuff in the eps (on the DVD), just not as much of it as there would have been when it was a two-pater.

Haha, is he doing Dave advertisements now? I have a strict ‘mute everything that’s not what I want to watch policy’ so I did not know this.

Obviously I do not just have the tv switched on with the sound off all day; that would be both stupid and impractical.

    > He is very good as the Terminator, but he?s not the in-all-end-all in the franchise.

My friend, Arnold is the be-all-end-all of everything. He is the ultimate person.

Anyway, this new film will probably be quite good.

Well for the series they should have just left it alone after T2 or gone into the war after that instead of 3.

    But Arnold makes everything better.

Surely if it’s Dave-produced then it will have the same time cuts for ads as five? Why was this such a big revelation? Eh, never mind for the time being.

I don’t see why they feel the need to keep revisiting the past. Enterprise was good, but it did get cancelled. Back to the 24th Century, I say!

    > Four words: Indiana. Jones. Four. Shit.

Very true, and I was half-conscious of this while I was typing it. Thinking about it now, I expect if it ever gets made it’ll be a pile of balls, but I was having so much fun getting excited about Indy 4 before it came out.

So the moral is, get excited about something until it comes out even if it’ll probably be shit, including lying to yourself when you see trailers. Only when you’re actually watching the film in the cinema can you relax in the shitiness of it all, go home and visit the internets for truth.

I don’t know. Obviously the cg one was a terrible idea, but I can’t really see a proper third film happening, even with all this news. If it did, though… they really would need everybody back to make it work. But if they did get everyone back, then it would probably be pretty good. If it is at least on a par with the second one (and with the time gap it could be loads better) then I’ll be happy. Actually fuck that, as long as they get everyone who should be there there, it’ll be a winner.

Lethal Weapon 5, though… why? They pretty decisively ended everyone’s stories and the entire series in the fourth one.

Well obviously she outranks Rimmer, and he would almost certainly do as she says. But it’s fairly likely that they wouldn’t even bother having a captain. I doubt anyone other than Rimmer would listen to her anyway if she started parading around the ship as captain, even if she technically is.

    Mmmm.

Anyway, apparently O’Brien isn’t even in it any more. I don’t really care about this remake, but I could at least see Colm Meany being a good Gene Hunt. According to this – http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Harvey-Keitel-Joins/800043842 – they now have Harvey Keitel, who I don’t think will be as good. But then again he probably will be, and also who cares.

    > The original list contains the all-time ultimate recast – Aunt Viv in Fresh Prince!! It was even referred to in one of the opening episodes of a later season, I think Will says to her ?you?re playing the Mom this year?? or something. Like it says on the list, she was hardly ever in it once it changed to the new actress.

It was Jazz who said something like “you look a little different, Vivian,” in the first episode of series four. Cue lots of that really irritating obese black lady laugher really loudly.

Janet Hubert-Whitten, the first one, was loads awesome, although Daphne Maxwell Reid (the second one) did kind of grow into the character after a while, even if she was clearly not as good and not in it as much.

I’m still waiting for series five and six to come out for fucks sake. Hurry up!!!!!11

    I ATE ALL YOUR BEES

It s strange how there isn’t a commentary for the third series. The commentaries aren’t great, but they’re still enjoyable. The humming the theme tune thing never made me not feel angry though, whichever show it is. Anyway there is a drop in quality after the first series, but the other two are still great. I quite like how the final episode is just like all the others as well. Quite an amusing attitude to have, I thought.

But new Spaced commentaries is annoying.

I have an amusing boy racer story. I was walking home one day when a cunt in a ford fiesta or something drove past and spat out of the window at me, missed, skidded and almost crashed. I suppose it’s more a disappointing boy racer story really. Sorry about that.

    > I?ve read that the Thor movie is going to be, or at least implied, to take place mostly in Asgard but I only want to see the Ultimate hippy/Jesus version :(

I would love it if they went the cheese route and had it in Asgard with everyone talking like Thor did in Thor: Vikings but I have a suspicion that would put a lot of people off and wouldn’t be taken seriously at all, even for a comic film about a Norse God. So I’d be surprised if it wasn’t an Ultimate Thor-ish type of film.

The Jarvis thing didn’t bother me, but I have let my caring about stuff like that slip in the last five or so years.
