I will be attending with my family….sort of. My wife and one of the kids will be shopping whilst I will be at the convention with the other kid. The plan is to periodically swap kids so that both get to experience about half of the convention. But I suspect that we may actually just all spend a lot of time sat in the bar together…

As the Holiday Inn doesn’t do family rooms, it works out a bit too expensive and so we will be staying elsewhere.

Have family tickets for the convention ever been considered? I suggest this purely from a selfish point of view of course. In a couple of years or so, it won’t really matter to me :)

Also, with regards to how distraught the Doctor became at losing them. What’s stopping him from visiting Amy and Rory a year or two after they landed in the past. River did say he doesn’t like to see people age, so ten years maybe a bit too much. But only a year or two should be okay…

I got a couple of texts at work from my ill wife to tell me. She said the clip they showed had Kryten doing stuff with his hands and so I assumed it was the full trailer. I was surprised when it wasn’t…..I’m guessing this could be the clip for this weekends Dave promo code.

As for the clip, this has been the first one that fell a bit flat for me. I’m sure as a part of an overall scene, it will be fine. But the end punch line didn’t seem punchy enough for me. Personally, not a clip I would have cut out to show the world….

Just out of interest. Has anybody seen all 6 episodes either in recording or at any kind of preview showing? If so, what order would you rank the episodes in? I’m hoping to have a clue as to what to expect after seeing the second episode filming and after watching the first episode once it’s aired.

There is a full episode which is the first pilot. Then there was a last ditch attempt by Rob and Doug second pilot. Although, it isn’t really an episode. It’s the US Red Dwarf crew (with a couple of key changes) crowding around in a dark room saying how many fun adventures they will have. Then clips from the UK version are played to demonstrate the kind of adventures they will have. Not so much a pilot as a direct appeal to the TV people

Both are out there, although it took me some searching to find!
