I was worried it had disappeared for good. And it’s too good to disappear September 30, 2018 at 5:11 pm in reply to: Jokes you don't/didn't get #237672 ori-STUDFARMParticipant There’s a lot of early references went over my head…Moss Bros and Teasy-Weasy is one that instantly springs to mind. Reading through the above, a few of those too. I’ve got to do a rewatch and reassessment now, don’t I? January 25, 2018 at 9:40 pm in reply to: PLUG: A new podcast about movies about toys #226985 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Oh, and thanks Ben! Now I’ve got to try find time to listen to another podcast! :) January 25, 2018 at 9:38 pm in reply to: PLUG: A new podcast about movies about toys #226984 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Really? I thought it was the first time they deliberately tried to make a turd out of a video game. December 20, 2017 at 5:19 pm in reply to: Original Star Trek #226246 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Not so much a lighthearted comedy episode, but my all time favourite is “Let that Be Your Last Battlefield”. I’d seen pictures and heard the basic concept for the episode beforehand and really wasn’t looking forward to it. Seemed like a stupid idea and I could instantly guess how it was all going to resolve itself in the most cliched and predictable way… but I was wrong. It doesn’t do the predictable conclusion I had assumed it would. Really great episode. Jeez, some people!! August 17, 2016 at 11:02 pm in reply to: I'm going to have to be the one to post this aren't I? #214551 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Perhaps we should do a Scuttercast review? LOL July 17, 2015 at 7:03 pm in reply to: What character/prop would you most like see return to the new series? #212164 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I’d like to see the return of Taiwan Tony… He wasn’t even remotely racist at all. If he was, they would have called him Taiwan Ting Tong or something… June 10, 2015 at 7:58 am in reply to: Guest Blogger's take on Red Dwarf #211929 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I’m gonna get a sheep and a cow and breed flawses With a sheep and a cow? No, with flawses and flawses! April 16, 2015 at 9:50 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf USA – Take Two? #211326 ori-STUDFARMParticipant 2 episodes in and its shit. Jokes are too few and far between and then they’re drummed into you repeatedly. The characters have absolutely no depths to their personalities. They’re poorly acted and there seems to be no consistency of personality traits. For example, one has suddenly at 5 minutes into the third episode gone all street calling another character a biiaaatch. She has shown no inclinations this way before now and nothing big prompted it… April 15, 2015 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf USA – Take Two? #211319 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Incidently, if you go to the Facebook page, the trailer is not region locked…about halfway down the page. April 15, 2015 at 8:41 pm in reply to: Doctor Who from the beginning #211318 ori-STUDFARMParticipant >Loose Cannon are fantastic! Particularly their Marco Polo recon I loved this too. When the Cadmium 2 Podcast reviewed it (Now no longer available after a falling out) they didn’t enjoy it. But they were using the BBC audio only releases, not the reconstructions. But there were also some reconstructions I didn’t like that they really rated well from the BBC audio’s. Has anyone experienced both audio only and reconstructions of the same episodes? I’ve always wondered if one format was more enjoyable than the other, or whether some stories worked better only as audio April 15, 2015 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf USA – Take Two? #211317 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Just now fired up (it’s space jargon for switched on) Hola Unblocker to view this. It looks interesting and I think I’ll give it a watch. I’m enjoying the Yahoo financed episodes of Community so far, although Yahoo themselves probably haven’t got that much to do with it… I’ll let you all know what I think once I’ve heard the laughter track (if there is one) and seen what others thought about it… Baaa April 15, 2015 at 8:33 pm in reply to: RD11 where does it stand? #211316 ori-STUDFARMParticipant >Bobby Lew did a 23 minute periscope broadcast this morning on 4/6/15 Fucking time travellers!! April 1, 2015 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Hyperdrive #211210 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Probably April 1, 2015 at 5:44 pm in reply to: Dirty Feed #211209 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I definitely have podcasts planned – I just want to make sure I can commit to a run of them rather than just shoving out the odd one with no proper releaser schedule to it. Hopefully this year, but I’ve said that since 2013… 2013? That long ago since the last couple….Jeez! They reminded me quite a bit of some that TV Cream have produced in the past. Their series of election podcasts or top moments from 50 years of Coronation Street (It was where I first learned about the pubs toilet leading into Dierdre and Kens back room! Make sure you let us know if and when you do release more… March 28, 2015 at 4:30 pm in reply to: Dirty Feed #211159 ori-STUDFARMParticipant You planning any more podcasts? I enjoyed those… March 28, 2015 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Hyperdrive #211158 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I saw some episodes and liked it. I bought the boxset a year or so back and, because Miranda is in it, was told I had to watch it with my wife. (She likes it when Miranda falls over a lot) We don’t watch many things together and so the boxset still has a cellophane coat on… March 28, 2015 at 4:26 pm in reply to: My Skutter had a Sex Change! #211157 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I actually like this. I probably wouldn’t had it not appeared in the show…but this I like. In general, I like customised figures… March 28, 2015 at 4:24 pm in reply to: New 'Doctor Who' blog #211156 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Also, check out my tumblr blog that I done started- http://whalefist.tumblr.com/ Seriously though, I would like to hear some constructive criticism (and praise…In fact mostly praise. I yearn for acceptance and praise). I’m doing this simply because I enjoy doing it. I find it therapeutic…until my PC freezes and it won’t fucking save! Then I wonder why I’m doing it! I already know that I have absolutely zero drawing ability or story telling skill….but I do have a mediocre to good understanding of how GIMP works (the poor mans photoshop). I know it isn’t in the league of Ben’s Jump Leads webcomic. It isn’t supposed to be. I wasn’t even going to do the tumblr…it was just a Facebook page. Join that if you want too… March 28, 2015 at 4:15 pm in reply to: Doctor Who from the beginning #211155 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I tried doing this a while back. I took a break after the first Doctor and a combination of the Cadmium 2 Podcast ending (I hadn’t discovered The Time Vault then) and having better things to watch stopped me from going into the second Doctor era. I used the Loose Cannon recreations where the episodes were missing. I loved their recreation of Marco Polo…but found most a real slog to ghet through with my eyes open. I should pick up and start where I left off actually….but having just discovered The Shield TV show, I doubt I will. Not for a while anyways… (The Shield is awesome by the way!) An Introcast? What is it? #209704 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I enjoyed it in the same way as I just enjoy listening to people talking about Red Dwarf. You’re not going to get any expert talk in this, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. These are guys who love the show, but don’t actually know much by way of trivia or general RD knowledge that we’re probably accustomed to on G&T. (Early Scuttercast? :) ) It sounds bad, but I actually found it interesting a couple of guys puzzling over why the ship is 3 million years away from Earth. I get the impression that this may be the first time they’ve gone through the show in episode order. And they’ve not yet seen RDX, so there are elements of an introcast here. They’re only doing 10 episodes I think. Each episode covers a full series/season and they’re only doing them monthly. For me it’s easily worth a listen. But I can see how the more devoted RD fan might nit beinterested in what they have to say. November 25, 2013 at 3:13 pm in reply to: Gazpacho Soup #209473 ori-STUDFARMParticipant In honour of Gazpacho Soup Day, I gave the cob van man (Oggy*) a bollocking for serving me a chicken and mayo cob that was cold and I insisted that he took it back to the depot to reheat it. I hope he hurries up back, I’m starving now… *Oggy’s cob van plays an icecream van style jingle of La Bamba as he pulls up. Kane has been working with a giant intelligent snowflake entity that feeds off organic lifeforms. He has already given the lives of the colonists to the entity and now plans to feed it the crew. Lister tries to warn the others but nobody believes him because he is stupid and now no longer even knows what an iguana is… again. I’m hoping for a totally unexpected left field announcement…..like Lenny Henry perhaps June 27, 2013 at 10:27 pm in reply to: The Name of The Doctor #208540 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I think the Doctors real name will be Doc…you know, like that Hollywood fella. And his surname could be Hoom like that …erm…. No. I got nothing June 24, 2013 at 5:31 pm in reply to: This is a Dwarfcast….or is it? #208403 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Not at all. Everything said was relevant and needed saying. June 24, 2013 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Idiot fan moments before the Internet? #208397 ori-STUDFARMParticipant …only for Black lace to release the song and it becoming a MASSIVE holiday park hit for generations to come June 24, 2013 at 4:38 pm in reply to: This is a Dwarfcast….or is it? #208395 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I think the thing I like most about this podcast is that the opinions of the noobs is usually on a par with the majority of Red Dwarf fandom. (at least the ones that aren’t just idiots) Things like Rimmer being the best thing about Red Dwarf, the live audience being the better option, preferring the model work to CGI etc… I have wondered how much of my own opinions, and that of some areas of the fandom in general, is influenced by the more vocal and whingy corners of the fandom. Heath and Angela have not been exposed to these vocal corners and, for the most part, are coming to the same conclusions.
