September 29, 2016 at 9:14 pm in reply to: Where's Samsara? #216594 BlisschickParticipant This sorely sucketh. >angry face< September 23, 2016 at 12:01 am in reply to: Where's Samsara? #216246 BlisschickParticipant I’m so jealous. September 22, 2016 at 10:52 pm in reply to: Where's Samsara? #216237 BlisschickParticipant Well, poo. Here I have been trying to distract myself by doing something useful all day until showtime, only to find that I’ve wasted the energy that I was going to use to do nothing. I feel robbed, but on the other hand, my bathroom is sparkling. August 18, 2016 at 7:31 am in reply to: Quantum Leap Guide Project #214553 BlisschickParticipant The last time I saw Dean Stockwell in anything was NCIS: New Orleans (with Scott Bakula) in 2014, and apart from the fact that he was 79 then, he didn’t look too healthy. I was kind of shocked at how sickly he looked. :( August 11, 2016 at 6:32 am in reply to: Quantum Leap Guide Project #214488 BlisschickParticipant I haven’t checked lately, but it was on Netflix here in the US for awhile. I’ve never rewatched any of it simply for the fact that they didn’t include the pilot episode, and a couple ofl key episodes of the first season. If you had never seen it before, it wouldn’t make any sense. I was kind of torqued about that, being really enthused about seeing episodes I hadn’t watched since it first aired. …I peeked in, and it appears that they’re all there now. Good, now I have something to watch. I’m in a serious Show Hole right now. August 11, 2016 at 6:23 am in reply to: School bans governor over 'offensive' T shirt at sports day… #214487 BlisschickParticipant I grew up knowing it was a rude slang word for a little girl’s anatomy. I had adult women in my family refer to it as “twat” and breasts as “titties” at a young age. Oddly, that seemed to stop altogether by the time I was an adolescent. I don’t know if it was because they didn’t think the usage would matter around little kids, or if it was some kind of culture shift. Use of the words nowadays is considered crude and vulgar in general. What I think is odd is how the word fanny is considered a cute, polite way of referring to a woman’s butt here, but it’s a big no-no on the other side of the pond and Australia. July 27, 2016 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Rimmericks #214324 BlisschickParticipant Aw. Okay, I’ll just read it that way. For you. July 27, 2016 at 4:56 am in reply to: Thinkin’ Ahead #214321 BlisschickParticipant Wow, I forgot about this thread while digging around for another one. (We talk about a lot of…stuff…here. Yeah. Finding stuff in the forums is interesting when you can’t remember exactly what to search for. :P ) Well, obviously, that trip never happened, but my bestie is looking to ditch her worthless cheating husband, is looking at coming into some money apart from her divorce, and has told me that as her gift to me, she’s getting my passport. She wants to redo a trip she took with his family to Germany (visualize taking the Clampetts to Neuschwanstein Castle, and the MIL complaining about the lack of handicap ramps, and citing the Americans With Disabilities Act…they were that clueless and horrible) so she can get the bitter taste out of her mouth, but we also are planning England still, and maybe France and/or Scotland/Ireland. I’m hoping (fingers crossed) that we can plan our trip to coincide with this DJ, since we didn’t make the last one. I know circumstances for some of you have changed since then, but I would still very much like to connect with a few of you should we make it there! July 27, 2016 at 4:13 am in reply to: Rimmericks #214320 BlisschickParticipant One night drinking wine, I came upon a thread That I had forgotten and now seemed dead. I drank a little more, And realized that before I should have had more in my head. (Okay, so it’s a horrible limerick. I’ve had a bottle and don’t care. Cheers. Now revive this thread. Some of you were good at this.) July 27, 2016 at 2:24 am in reply to: Red Dwarf Fan-Fic: Homecoming #214319 BlisschickParticipant Lovely! It ties a lot of things up nicely. I vote to make this the “Official Explanation”. November 21, 2015 at 12:52 am in reply to: New banner #212858 BlisschickParticipant Bald and naked Rimmer and Lister. Well now. August 14, 2015 at 5:46 am in reply to: I Complained To The BBC Tonight #212336 BlisschickParticipant Obviously, American TV must be absolute shit then because I end up watching more stuff made by the BBC than I do by any of our major networks over here. But then, I’m probably not saying anything anyone doesn’t already know. June 15, 2015 at 4:51 am in reply to: Should the Red Dwarf logo be refreshed? #211989 BlisschickParticipant I can’t tell you just how awesome that really is. My day is made. June 13, 2015 at 5:39 am in reply to: Should the Red Dwarf logo be refreshed? #211960 BlisschickParticipant I really like the slickness of McAleeCh’s logos, and applaud Si’s concept of a RD/DW-ish logo, but truly, I love Pete’s design the best. It makes me feel all warmish. June 8, 2015 at 6:41 am in reply to: Why so much hate for Remastered? #211886 BlisschickParticipant I actually saw the Remastered versions way before I saw the originals, and I instantly hated the Remastered afterward. Not only were the sound effects stupid and distracting, once I found out what scenes had been cut and I realized how horribly some of them had been done, I was kind of mad about it. Most of what was changed had been fine in my opinion, so I have never really understood the logic behind most of what was done. May 6, 2015 at 3:50 am in reply to: Plots for RDXII #211508 BlisschickParticipant The crew is still heading back to earth. Then some things happen and everything works itself out. May 4, 2015 at 3:48 am in reply to: 12 Series & 73 Episodes #211482 BlisschickParticipant ^^Agreed. If Dave had been trying to commission more episodes way back in 2009 and everyone finally managed to get their ducks in a row to finally accomplish two more series, then I don’t see why there couldn’t or wouldn’t be a RD XVIII…unless someone had an aversion to the number 13 or Doug decides to finalize everything at the end of XVII. (If he did, I’d be heartbroken, but reality says it’s gotta end somewhere sometime.) May 3, 2015 at 3:16 pm in reply to: A thread for non-DJers. #211475 BlisschickParticipant It’s still on my bucket list. After a horrible year of failed jobs and just scraping by, there was no way to save for us, either. We’re in a much better place now, and I pointed out to my husband that we need to go next year or at least once in the future. He didn’t say no. He also could have been humoring me…but maybe not… February 28, 2015 at 8:28 am in reply to: Dwarf in Paradise #211046 BlisschickParticipant Is it “fish”? February 3, 2015 at 11:34 pm in reply to: Sad News Now…she didnt see thatbone coming #210919 BlisschickParticipant 404 item not found August 9, 2014 at 6:35 pm in reply to: I HAVE WRITTEN AN ARTICLE ABOUT POPULAR BRITISH SITCOM THE BRITTAS EMPIRE #210420 BlisschickParticipant You’ll have to yell louder! My eyes are closed and I can’t hear you! April 22, 2014 at 3:16 pm in reply to: "Marooned" does Chris Barrie nearly flub his "the first time…" speech? #210114 BlisschickParticipant I don’t recall him saying anything about forgetting his lines, but he did say he was trying not to laugh during the “Now, something, something, something” speech. April 22, 2014 at 2:55 am in reply to: RD petition #210111 BlisschickParticipant Link? I can’t find it. :( March 17, 2014 at 11:56 pm in reply to: Lexx #209996 BlisschickParticipant I vaguely remember this being on Sci Fi when I did not have access to cable (back when the wheel was on the drawing table). I’m glad you mentioned this. I need to look into it. March 17, 2014 at 5:33 pm in reply to: Anyone seeing The Grand Budapest Hotel next Spring? #209992 BlisschickParticipant Guess you’re not gonna be eating that hobo. I was looking forward to reading your review on serving suggestions. March 15, 2014 at 4:33 am in reply to: Is Mr. Bean retarded? #209976 BlisschickParticipant Genius. March 6, 2014 at 9:55 pm in reply to: Angela's informal rewatch #209903 BlisschickParticipant No, you’re not missing anything. The scene was deleted from a certain version of it, to the point that you wouldn’t even know it was there if you hadn’t seen the uncut version. March 5, 2014 at 9:29 pm in reply to: There are some numbers beside it, but they could be anything #209880 BlisschickParticipant >>Then again… I also checked LOST and it was correct about what the worst episode of that is. I vote it was the last one. I’m still pissed. No, I won’t get over it, either. So. There. March 5, 2014 at 4:58 am in reply to: Shades of Brittas #209859 BlisschickParticipant It’s fairly evident by the comments no one has a clue as Jason said. On the other hand, Chris is such a goof. It’s cool he was game for this. Funny! :) March 5, 2014 at 12:28 am in reply to: Angela's informal rewatch #209858 BlisschickParticipant As I recall, the Netflix version didn’t have the white card/black card scene in it, but the DVD does. I can’t remember if mine are the remastered version (hubby took off with them to the new flat), but I think they are. March 2, 2014 at 12:04 am in reply to: Everyday I'm Shuffling #209811 BlisschickParticipant I had totally forgotten about the Superbowl Shuffle. One more piece of my teen years that I have managed to block out/forget, probably due to large amounts of alcohol and/or lack of sleep. February 24, 2014 at 8:14 pm in reply to: This is a Dwarfcast….or is it? #209781 BlisschickParticipant *waving hi from the back of the room* February 24, 2014 at 8:06 pm in reply to: Wait a minute… #209780 BlisschickParticipant Science fiction…it’s all bollocks, isn’t it? January 9, 2014 at 10:13 pm in reply to: Any of these worth watching? #209613 BlisschickParticipant I’ve tried to watch Hyperdrive, but I just couldn’t seem to get into it. I was kind of bored by it. January 6, 2014 at 8:10 am in reply to: Dollarpounds Cryptocoins #209580 BlisschickParticipant I wish there was a like button for Phil’s comment. December 20, 2013 at 7:41 pm in reply to: I WILL MAKE "RED DWARF" THE MOVIE! #209542 BlisschickParticipant I want to play Kochanski. Because I totally fit the part. Totally. Stop laughing! December 20, 2013 at 7:31 pm in reply to: Richard Naylor #209541 BlisschickParticipant There, that’s more like it. December 12, 2013 at 1:49 am in reply to: Richard Naylor #209498 BlisschickParticipant Just joking, Claire. Actually, I’d believe it from Richard before anyone else. Unofficially, of course. December 12, 2013 at 1:00 am in reply to: Richard Naylor #209494 BlisschickParticipant I don’t consider this a reliable source. I must hear it from Robert or Craig first, then listen to the denials fly. Then, and only then, will I know that it might not be happening or possibly has will possibly happened. Or something like that. November 30, 2013 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Anyone seeing The Grand Budapest Hotel next Spring? #209483 BlisschickParticipant I saw the trailer awhile back and thought I wanted to see it. It looks like it could be entertaining. September 13, 2013 at 6:43 am in reply to: Well, this is pretty fucking bizarre #209248 BlisschickParticipant Oh hell, I had to watch this right before going to bed. I. Have. No. Words. August 28, 2013 at 3:02 am in reply to: PECOS TERRORIZES CAPE COD! #209088 BlisschickParticipant Yes, AA sucks. My husband can add to your list of horror stories. August 11, 2013 at 3:45 pm in reply to: COSTCO #209022 BlisschickParticipant I’ll be moving to Austin in about a year (hubby just got a job there), and there’s a ton of Indian restaurants. That was a very pleasant surprise. NOM. August 10, 2013 at 11:02 pm in reply to: Here, have a new fucking forum, you bastards #209020 BlisschickParticipant It did the same thing to me awhile back -both with the image and the gazillion messages. August 5, 2013 at 7:29 pm in reply to: COSTCO #208962 BlisschickParticipant Believe it or not, Indian food isn’t something that you readily find on the shelves here, at least in our part of the US. Like Pete, you mostly find Mexican or Tex-Mex, followed by various Asian things. If you want to eat Indian, mostly you have to find a restaurant, and then it has to be a *good* restaurant. Honestly, the best curry I’ve had so far is at a Thai restaurant not far from my college. I could drink that yellow curry sauce with a straw. August 1, 2013 at 8:31 pm in reply to: What I did with my Saturday… #208904 BlisschickParticipant Totally bummed that I missed out on this! Too many people there I would’ve loved to have autographs from. ‘Star Trek’s’ Shuttlecraft Galileo Warps Into Space Center Houston http://www.space.com/22189-star-trek-shuttlecraft-galileo-houston-museum.html July 29, 2013 at 6:54 am in reply to: Sebby C #208890 BlisschickParticipant My daughter really loves V, but I got bored with it pretty quickly. I’ve tried to watch it twice now, and just gave up on it. I don’t know exactly why, but it just didn’t grip me. I guess I agree with Seb in that it’s missing the point, and also that it feels like a rip off of Phantom of the Opera in a sense. Maybe I’d get more out of it with the graphic novel. I’m very intrigued by the sound of Daytripper and Terra. I’ll have to look into those. I haven’t bought a really good book in awhile. July 29, 2013 at 6:34 am in reply to: What I did with my Saturday… #208889 BlisschickParticipant Mabel, that video is amazing! Thanks for sharing. July 15, 2013 at 5:25 am in reply to: What I did with my Saturday… #208768 BlisschickParticipant A better link…I think. http://s22.photobucket.com/user/Chickenmom/library/Space%20Center%20Houston?sort=6&page=1 Author Replies Viewing 50 replies - 1 through 50 (of 488 total) 1 2 3 … 8 9 10
