I like the idea of Rimmer insisting on using the bunk toilet when they have a choice of presumably hundreds because that’s the one he was assigned.

When Steve McQueen met The Blob, he tried to kill it. It probably never crossed his mind to try and stand in a corridor.

Does the Blu-ray allow for the reading of the name tag..? Assume the “Russian Military Village People Reject” name tag photoshop has already been done.

Ah, it’s the rank ain’t it.

That “Russian Military Village People Reject” rank tag photoshop would have been funny after all.

Then the Data Doctor scene and Kryten’s recovery take place in the simulation. Then after they come back to the real world, the episode forgets about resetting Kryten, and instead sentences him to be thrown in prison with the others.

    Which is lovely, isn’t it?

Maybe Floor 13 is where they shoved Crawford after Lister got bored. And Snacky.

The practical reason is that Naylor thought he could mine some humour from it, no?
From an in-universe perspective, it’s grim that the JMC and or Space Corps has went “Oh no, the android has become a person, if we reset it that’ll solve the paperwork.”

Remember the old bent woman? That was Ian.

The inherent ridiculousness of Kryten being classified as a woman by lack of an Archie is typical Red Dwarf thumbing its nose at bureaucracy even if the handling is typical Red Dwarf VIII thumbing its nose at decency.

There’s always a thing. Whether it’s the wrong episode titles, gets burned in a fire or is Vindalunar. It’s one of the show’s best traditions.

You’d think it would be “ranked among the 100 best [etc.]” as a turn of phrase (a process that will take 4000 years).

I watched an episode of the Pokemon anime recently (the one on the St. Anne) and found myself laughing my head off, shit’s really funny.

I ended up watching through the Journeys run when I put the first episode on as a curiosity to see what it was like X seasons on and to kill 20 minutes. Turns out the show gets good when the makers are just throwing anything at it while winding down Ash’s involvement though it suppose it helps that by that stage anything and everything is a Pokemon.

Most recent things I’ve seen are Dragon Ball Daima and got around to Mobile Suit Gundam Blu-rays when I dropped of partway through an imported DVD. Gundam really got lucky that people latched onto Gunpla. It could do with a remake if exploration of its premise was taken more seriously. Red Baron flying ace vs rookie with adaptive tech should be a lot more compelling than it is. Plus, y’know, big robots going boom.

Tie-in books are not that much better off either.

I get the impression we didn’t get audio out of Naylor’s sic buttski because he wouldn’t be present enough for quality control. And this is the same brand that can’t maintain a web presence anymore.

I find Moriarty to be incredibly annoying.

    I changed my mind.

I have watched Bookish. Maybe all the press shouldn’t reveal Book’s deal when it’s a story the show is telling across its first series.

    “independently from the main show”

Surely they’re doing separate Doctors then?

Whittaker would have been (is?) ideal for this.

Series 6 is all recorded except for one ep which is clearly CURSED! We keep trying to make it happen and it keeps not happening. As soon as we can get than one recorded, we’ll be back in people’s podcast feeds.

It seems like people didn’t like the Ashoka show either, but I did, you bastards. And I never even watched Rebels.

I find this interesting as it came across to me as impenetrable for those that hadn’t kept up with the Filoni animated shows and embodies the homework era of Star Wars echoing the worst impulses of the MCU for its Mandoverse. Those two episodes of Mandalorian with a Boba Fett title felt like active contempt for an audience’s time.

Andor is good and I don’t like Rogue One. Haven’t gone back to the movie since but Rogue One, Solo and Rise of Skywalker were an effort to get through. Twice, IIRC.  As garbled as the Doctor Who finale was, at least I wasn’t bored.
