Anyway by that principle, if by killing their past selves, the future crew never existed to be able to kill themselves in the first place, how come JFK did exactly the same thing successfully in the same episode?

Something to do with Jeff Kay not destroying the means with which he travelled back in time in the past and unstable reality from merged “dimensions” possibly. Maybe. A bit.

There?s a difference between shocking for the purpose of a ?joke? and, well, just linking to an illegal website. What?s next? Kiddie-porn websites for people who didn?t like Last Human, or is that a step too far?

Well I thought my joke was better. :s

I think Dwarf should avoid suddenly pulling out a concept like the mirror universe from nowhere. It can be assumed Kochanski came across one in her dimension but it would have better if she’d actually said so. Or something.

Seems more a case that Kochanski simply doesn’t believe there’s enough to be captain of. Two people? She would also have been captain when she was with Dave, her Dave. As Lister would have been when Rimmer left.

Seems the two just don’t have Rimmer’s obessesion with rank and find more worth in surviving/passing the time. Hollister on the other hand was running a mini city of 1,169 (plus prisoners?).

This is when a Red Dwarf expanded universe would come in handy. ;)

Just think of all the classic titles we could have had for both Gamecube and Wii.

Most of their original output up to now have been planned Nintendo games carried over and reworked from the move: Kameo intended for N64 then GameCube, Perfect Dark Zero intended for the Gamecube, Diddy Kong Pilot became Banjo Pilot, Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers became It’s Mr. Pants.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies was supposedly intended for GameCube (the only flop) aswell.

Viva Pinata did well, got a TV series at the same time, a sequel and DS version. I don’t think Sabre Wulf is actually a remake but it’s on a Nintendo console.

    2007
    Jetpac Refuelled (XBLA) – MGS
Diddy Kong Racing DS (DS) – Nintendo
    2006
    Viva Pi?ata (Xbox 360) – MGS
    2005
    Banjo Pilot (GBA) – THQ
Conker: Live & Reloaded (Xbox) – MGS
Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA) – Nintendo
Kameo: Elements of Power (Xbox 360) – MGS
Perfect Dark Zero (Xbox 360) – MGS
    2004
    Sabre Wulf (GBA) – THQ
Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA) – Nintendo
It’s Mr. Pants (GBA) – THQ
    2003
Donkey Kong Country (GBA) – Nintendo
    Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge (GBA) – THQ
Grabbed by the Ghoulies (Xbox) – MGS
    2002
Star Fox Adventures (GameCube) – Nintendo

What’s the major difference? To me it’s only Microsoft that ultimately lost out from the move.

I’ve not really seen Rare as being all that different from the move. They’re still making Nintendoish games but without being held under Nintendo’s more games, more often policy.

I suppose you could argue how much the hologram Rimmer and nano Rimmer are “like [he] used to be. Ughhh.”

In theory series VIII Rimmer is the continuation of pre-accident Rimmer which you only get to see in- what? The End, Stasis Leak and Ouroboros? And Me2 depending on at which point the nanobots resurrected the crew eg. Hollister was thrown against a wall after arguing with Rimmer about drive plates then got up and carried on as normal, discovered a different shaped ship, three million years on the clock, found Kochanksi gone, Lister missing from stasis, etc etc…

Perhaps the mirror universe flipped his sensibilities like the formula for the antidote.

Talia Garrett seemed the same on either side though, unless Rimmer was right about her the first time round and Mrs Hollister’s picture did require turning.

Of series VIII’s flaws, the plot bunnies aren’t amongst them. ;)

I liked it. As good as the first one and I’m not a Batfan. The comics (and DC in general) always feel a bit beyond the realms of believability for me which these movies counter.

Thought the continuity from the end of the first film was bit shaky (half of Arkham escaping and the Joker card) and the look of the city for what was supposed to be a year on. Qui-Gon would be so proud. ;)

Never thought Two Face was dead, didn’t consider it even, if anything Gordon’s already faked a death once. A fake death I did actually fall for knowing Oldman’s attitude toward sequels. Believed Dent was being positioned to lead the hunt for Batman.

Are there any good villains left apart from Riddler that could handle being made more… uhh… human? Hopefully Joker simply breaks his own neck between Knight and a third installment rather than someone trying to replicate the Ledger portrayal.

Just read Mr. Ellard’s Indy 4 review on that other website. Has everyone seen the supposed Darabont draft?

Apart from fewer plot questions and Jones breaking his equipment out of the museum (now having to leave the country because he could be executed as a Communist), I do think the cinema got the better version.

I thought it was largely meh but the spoilers were a factor. Surprised someone saying “Oh I’m good again” is considered enough to constitute a redemption and is ample payoff for a character.

I didn’t like the big reset button.

Guess reviews are saying filler because they know it was a replacement script. It should stay self contained or the ending is undermimed. (“He’s right it should!” “It should yeah!” “I agree!”)

    It was padding.
