It’s more effort to do the linking than it is to bump the thread though.

and one that RTD has leant into heavily in his new era, presumably as part of a strategy to get more interest in the series.

I think he’s just angry and vocal and getting to do it on Disney’s dime.

Thus the Wish World storybook being a faux Harry Potter sleeve.

And there definitely will be a fan or two somewhere being against it being progressive and inclusive. *waves arm in general direction of the sci-fi genre*

I’m glad we got the 13 and 15 interaction

It’s thematically Interesting that we got the unambiguously gay Doctors talking to each other about a bi-generation.

As much as this run has bounced around quality-wise, with Davies there’s always a feeling of “Oh well, there’s always the next one” where with Chibnall it was “Ugh, it’s still going.”

    Thoughts on tonight’s episode?

“For this,” she said, “I’d recommend a Rose.”

It’s a shame this era hasn’t quite been RTD storming in and revitalising the show as one hoped.

Still went “Aw, brilliant. :D” when Piper appeared though.

Google’s AI thing when looking up broadcast dates.

Ganymede & Titan, a UK television show, has broadcast dates listed on the Ganymede.tv website. The Pilot episode aired on February 23, 1993. Other episodes include “Sack” (April 18, 1994), “Galaxy Quest 8” (April 25, 1994), and “A Small Package” (May 2, 1994). The ganymede.tv site also details episode broadcast order, as the recording order was different from the broadcast order for some series, according to the site.

I thought the title was a confession.

Someone around here posted or linked to the ratings at some point but Google-fu is failing me. Clem? SoundableObject? cwickham? Or am I just confusing it with repeat broadcast dates?

The Doctor is far more interesting when he’s a unique, lone timelord making his way through the universe, and it means that when they do want to introduce timelords and ladies (like the Master or the Rani or whoever), it makes much more of an impact when it’s a rare occurence.

Not sure that’s the case anymore. When the revival first started up, sure, but the Doctor can be outlier to the rest of the Time Lords whether they’re dead, lost or just over there somewhere, the trick is to not get bogged down by lore. The Doctor can realise Earth became home forever ago.

    – RTD (or Juno Dawson, but probably RTD) seems like he’s really not happy with The Day of the Doctor.

I think it’s more that he mavitates towards Moffat’s ideas than Chibnall’s redo of RTD’s (and he’s redoing himself anyway).

Funnily enough, I was thinking throughout this series that a way to bring the Time Lords back would be to have the Timeless Child’s unknown amount of regenerations split off to revive them. Millions of regeneration energy lasers flying off into the universe in all directions as Gallifrey is its people not the planet or summat.

I was pretty meh on the episode itself where I’ve enjoyed most of the run. I raised an eyebrow at the “corporation” that supports the song contest being evil the same as I did with The One Show presented as gladly platforming alt right conspirators.

So is, like, the TARDIS being wheelchair accessible going to be demonstrated at some point? Cause with that, the AL robot having a lazy eye and someone feeling it necessary to make a thing of a little person needing to stand on a box,  able-bodied Davros is starting to come across as sinister rather than empathetic.

I mean, it may have worked but it would have to be one hell of an amazing delivery without the rest of Timewave wrapped around it. If indeed, there was an original line and that was it.

(Also, I clicked this thread thinking the TW was for Timewave,)

the tease of Jo Martin was probably the most interesting bit. And I don’t even care that much for that part of the Doctors story.  All it’s done is say “she is still canon and I might return to it one day”

I would argue it’s there to show Anansi’s kid has a past with the Doctor before this incarnation without it being undercut with a white face as that would change the context. I don’t get the impression it’s supposed to foreshadow RTD paying off the Fugitive stuff but rather a way of saying that Doctor Who keeps going/has more to tell.

Side note, but Jesus of fucking Caesaria the Express are bad.

I avoided giving clicks anyway as they were one of the sites which by virtue of being at the top of a search result announcing something was out, indicated a release date wasn’t even known at that stage.

But then I discovered some years ago that they were linking all their stories back through Fortnite (iirc) which let me know where they stood on news in general.

I do enjoy the show still, I am liking the pantheon linked villains arc more than Mrs Flood stuff. That’s done through all 3 runs of RTD2 thus far. I wouldn’t even mind a sea god in the spin off next year.
