As is VI. February 16, 2018 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Doug WhatCulture interview #227809 flanl3Participant I would personally prefer Waiting for God second and BoP third. February 16, 2018 at 6:43 pm in reply to: So what do you think we'll be getting for the 30th? #227804 flanl3Participant I, II, and VI at 30, 30, and 25, respectively? Am I not thinking straight? February 16, 2018 at 5:54 pm in reply to: So what do you think we'll be getting for the 30th? #227798 flanl3Participant Seb, but this is still the anniversary year (of not one, but two series in fact!) Surely that number should be three? February 16, 2018 at 1:46 am in reply to: Post your Pearl Poll rankings #227749 flanl3Participant That is the mystery of who put Samsara at #1 solved then. Once this evening’s Dwarfcast is published I will gladly further clarify my position on this further, which is something I didn’t do while called in because words are hard. February 16, 2018 at 12:52 am in reply to: Doug WhatCulture interview #227746 flanl3Participant I’m going to make a guess that Doug would be a little wiser on how hard to work on getting a movie this time around. Maybe not, though. February 12, 2018 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227569 flanl3Participant Getting a boob job would be pretty awkward. February 12, 2018 at 2:44 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #227559 flanl3Participant THREE END, PART 3 Three separate Three Ends are combined into one. February 12, 2018 at 1:51 am in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227552 flanl3Participant Speaking of skiing a piss, surely every aspect of skiing, including the actual skiing bit, crashing, getting on and off the lifts, etc. would all be quite strange. Also why the fuck would you wait in lines anymore? February 11, 2018 at 1:59 am in reply to: So what do you think we'll be getting for the 30th? #227533 flanl3Participant Well, somebody should watch in case there’s a surprise announcement so they can make fun of all the rest of us for missing it. February 10, 2018 at 8:29 pm in reply to: So what do you think we'll be getting for the 30th? #227516 flanl3Participant That’s a nice selection. I’d replace Samsara with Officer Rimmer or something, though. Back to Reality is a no-brainer. If I was making the selection, I’d probably go with Queeg/Fathers & Suns or The Beginning/Polymorph/Samsara or Give & Take/Back to Reality/Siliconia or Mechocracy. Seems strange to pick two from XI and one from XII rather than one each from X-XII. February 10, 2018 at 6:09 pm in reply to: So what do you think we'll be getting for the 30th? #227502 flanl3Participant The schedule lists Mechocracy, Back to Reality, Twentica, Polymorph, Samsara, and Holoship, not Timewave. February 10, 2018 at 1:04 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #227485 flanl3Participant ONLY THE LEGS… Rimmer looks under the sheets in the mirror universe. February 9, 2018 at 7:04 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227482 flanl3Participant This only complicates the matter of determining what Rimmer saw under the sheets in the mirror universe. February 9, 2018 at 1:13 am in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227456 flanl3Participant Or he was taking a truly tiny lift or it’s secretly also a fat joke. Most lifts wouldn’t close though, that’s how people hold them open. February 8, 2018 at 1:05 am in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227420 flanl3Participant In the universe where Red Dwarf is currently happening, hasn’t Kochanski always looked like Chloe Annett? February 7, 2018 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227401 flanl3Participant What if the original asteroid was actually a collision, then the nanobots got the extra material from that? February 7, 2018 at 8:42 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227400 flanl3Participant What about the fact that plenty of landing bays are not oriented correctly for this? February 7, 2018 at 7:14 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227391 flanl3Participant The VIII Dwarf doesn’t have a giant-ass rock in the side of it, right? February 7, 2018 at 7:12 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227390 flanl3Participant Holly was part of the ship’s original design specifications, not a life form that needed to be excluded from bringing everybody back to life, so that was the first set of nanobots that brought him back, not the second. Also,Kochanski not being brought back is about as justifiable as Lister not being brought back. February 7, 2018 at 2:11 am in reply to: The Blu-ray Awakens #227365 flanl3Participant I don’t think my TV does that, and even if it did, it’s important to note that playing it on the original proper rate would also not be right, as the slowdown is minor because the correction was made but it wasn’t enough. It’s a slowdown that by the end adds maybe ten or twenty seconds at most, not six minutes. February 7, 2018 at 12:49 am in reply to: The Blu-ray Awakens #227363 flanl3Participant As I also own X on Amazon and have watched clips from it online and on BritBox, I can entirely verify that it is much more dreadful at the slightly slower rate. February 6, 2018 at 9:32 pm in reply to: The Blu-ray Awakens #227353 flanl3Participant Everything feels just a mild bit dreadful at the slowed pace. February 6, 2018 at 9:28 pm in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227352 flanl3Participant I mean, supposedly you could just target the chest area and send it forward through evolution a good number of years and we could assume that tits evolve in the direction of increasing size. February 6, 2018 at 2:23 am in reply to: The Blu-ray Awakens #227323 flanl3Participant They did it the other way around on the American X DVD. February 6, 2018 at 12:37 am in reply to: Did Kochanski ever find out whether the Time Wand can do boob jobs? #227319 flanl3Participant PETE PART EIGHT Pete steps on the crushed remains of the time wand, accidentally activating it and giving Kochanski a boob job. Unfortunately, this boob job has made each of her boobs as large as her. Of which there are now eight, by the way. Can she get her old self back, and does she even want to? February 4, 2018 at 10:57 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #227261 flanl3Participant STANCE OF POWER II: IT’S CALLED STAND-UP MANSPREADING, I SHIT YOU NOT, SOMEBODY TAUGHT ME ABOUT THIS LIKE TWO DAYS AGO Self-explanatory. February 4, 2018 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Series VII Highlights #227239 flanl3Participant It’s sort of the time drive resetting to its original loop vs you resetting to your original loop? Also, it’s breaking the laws of causality. Nobody said it was supposed to make sense what does what. February 4, 2018 at 5:57 pm in reply to: Series VII Highlights #227235 flanl3Participant I think I’ve got it. Either the future ship destroying Starbug destroyed the time drive or Rimmer did just in time, and that’s what made the loop break – destruction of the time drive – which is why it’s still consistent with Kennedy, since the Time Drive wasn’t destroyed in that kerfuffle. February 4, 2018 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Series VII Highlights #227222 flanl3Participant Why does Starbug explode at the end of Out of Time then? Is that just the timeline resetting? February 3, 2018 at 9:57 pm in reply to: Series VII Highlights #227193 flanl3Participant It absolutely bothers me that shooting your past self both keeps you alive but destined not to become that person and kills your past self for good right then and there in the same episode. February 3, 2018 at 6:52 pm in reply to: blog plug #227187 flanl3Participant You’ve put excellent effort into that post, and I admire that greatly, but your ranking made me say yikes. February 1, 2018 at 7:16 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #227140 flanl3Participant LONELIER HOODS… Rimmer is getting bored on Red Dwarf, so he joins the KKK. He then realizes that this leaves him with no friends on the ship. He decides to remain a member of the Klan but also decides to start arranging his living space for good health and optimal energy. Remember… “Lonelier Hoods Try Feng” *credits roll* *credits pause* “Shui” *credits play* February 1, 2018 at 3:38 pm in reply to: Series VII Highlights #227136 flanl3Participant I always loved the ‘picking on the chickens’ line – partly because I’m vegetarian and the way I see it, we do pretty much pick on the chickens. Also, Kryten shrieking “MISTER LISTER!” from the corridor in Epideme was always an excellent moment for me, especially because when it happens I’ve usually just forgotten that he’s dead in the relief that they’ve defeated Epideme as well. January 30, 2018 at 5:24 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #227069 flanl3Participant Series XIII Episode 1: Rimmer’s glad to be back in his own universe. Something’s a little off, though: everybody’s being nice to him, even Cat. Instead of the usual “Hey let’s put Rimmer in a dangerous situation” jokes he instead makes jokes about staying behind so Rimmer can go on. This is all just a bit weird, so he takes a stroll through sone of the engine decks. Suddenly, he sees a massive container marked “SAMSARA”. It hits him: this isn’t his universe. Here, the Samsara wasn’t reprogrammed, rather it crashed in a horrible accident on the same moon, so the crew had decided to pick up the good drive and try it, only once they had it they couldn’t get rid of else it would punish them. Now Rimmer has to make a choice about whether he wants to stay or leave, and if he’s nice enough, will the karma drive alter reality so that he skips out to one of the universes he’s trying to find where he isn’t a failure?
