I’m fairly certain that that’s the literal point of the father reveal. June 22, 2018 at 11:11 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #233644 flanl3Participant THE LAST JAWSCVMCDAY Kryten gets a notice that he only has 24 hours left to live, so he starts listing every possible question that never mattered to anybody. June 22, 2018 at 2:52 am in reply to: Who's your favourite member of the fan club? #233619 flanl3Participant I think GlenTokyo has provided the best option yet. Who are my other choices? June 22, 2018 at 2:49 am in reply to: In Lemons, why couldn't they power the remote via Kryten? #233618 flanl3Participant the plot June 21, 2018 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #233593 flanl3Participant MEMORIZED FROM POURING OVA’ When Lister falls ill, he accidentally hallucinates two people to life: one who memorized every line from every published work ever from pouring over them at great length, and one who does literally nothing but correct this spelling of ‘pouring’. June 21, 2018 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233587 flanl3Participant well that’s me proper baffled then June 21, 2018 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233586 flanl3Participant June 21, 2018 at 6:55 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233573 flanl3Participant we interrupt this thread to remind you to never search google images for ‘purple rimmer’ June 21, 2018 at 6:48 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233571 flanl3Participant >I know you are, but what am I? You misspelled wow thanks for pointing that out to me I can’t believe I made such a dumb mistake haha silly me lmao ur the best <3 June 21, 2018 at 6:44 pm in reply to: We say good things about the Dave-era #233568 flanl3Participant Yes, it might help if you talked about poring over things instead. June 21, 2018 at 6:42 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233567 flanl3Participant >You misspelled red You misspelled spelled purple correctly June 21, 2018 at 6:40 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #233566 flanl3Participant VIRGINITYSWAP Just that one scene from Marooned on loop for 28 minutes June 21, 2018 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233564 flanl3Participant He was supposed to look red, but it was absolutely quite purple. June 21, 2018 at 6:27 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #233509 flanl3Participant BODYSTIPE But it turns out it was actually Michael Stipe in Mike Mills’s body. Meanwhile, flanl3 wonders what the fuck June 21, 2018 at 6:24 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #233508 flanl3Participant BETTER THAN STIPE Mike Mills takes over lead vocals on what turns out to be the best track on the album. June 21, 2018 at 6:23 am in reply to: Idea for an episode. #233507 flanl3Participant LIVE & BAKE Asclepius becomes a stoner hippie, enjoying life as it comes to him. June 21, 2018 at 6:15 am in reply to: We say good things about the Dave-era #233506 flanl3Participant I’m not sure if you’ve deliberately missed my point or if I’m bad at explaining, but I suppose I’m more getting at the ‘XI beginning’ phenomenon, where, for example, Lister wakes up hungover only remembering having two beers in Give & Take, or in Samsara with the whole seemingly pointless dice scene that ends up having been caused by Samsara’s karma field. I guess maybe it is just more of an XI thing. Maybe that’s part of why XI is easily my favorite of the Dave ones and among my favorites of all of them. June 21, 2018 at 2:21 am in reply to: In Lemons, why couldn't they power the remote via Kryten? #233501 flanl3Participant I’m never going to not hate Timewave. A sub-average 12-year-old could have written a better Red Dwarf episode about all their childish whining about PC. I wouldn’t say that about any other concept Red Dwarf has approached, nor has any concept Red Dwarf has tried ever been so fucking stupid. June 21, 2018 at 2:16 am in reply to: We say good things about the Dave-era #233500 flanl3Participant The opening scene paying off has become one of the best parts of the Dave era, hasn’t it? A lot of the earlier bantery dialogue that seems like filler turns out to have actually meant something, and there’s something more satisfying about the show when it feels like more of the things they’ve done were done for a reason. June 20, 2018 at 7:14 pm in reply to: In Lemons, why couldn't they power the remote via Kryten? #233465 flanl3Participant Well if it took them that long to even think to take wires out of Kryten’s finger, I’d imagine they just didn’t think of it. June 20, 2018 at 10:10 am in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233373 flanl3Participant Did Lister make that patch of the four of them himself? June 19, 2018 at 4:33 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233210 flanl3Participant Doug Naylor or Rob Naylor? June 19, 2018 at 4:26 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233207 flanl3Participant Not as a regular uniform, though. June 19, 2018 at 4:21 pm in reply to: Who had more control in the early years? #233205 flanl3Participant I hope XIII’s running plot arc is that Snacky is angry, at the very least from being left alone for, like, two years, and trying to murder all of them, and they are all trying to escape. June 19, 2018 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #233204 flanl3Participant No, at least the explanations for those either make some sense or are interesting enough of concepts to forgive June 19, 2018 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Should Rimmer get a costume redesign for Series XIII? #233203 flanl3Participant -orange -yellow -chartreuse -mint green -cyan -azure -purple -magenta -pink -white -gray -black -nothing June 19, 2018 at 1:03 am in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #233159 flanl3Participant I honestly think most of the people saying “Red Dwarf ought to be done soon” are just tired of XII being, like, 60% recycled material. If it had been more original, even if less good, I doubt as many of you would be on about “don’t give it more than a couple new series”. June 19, 2018 at 1:01 am in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #233158 flanl3Participant I honestly didn’t realise how much hate the fandom has for Timewave. Oh, don’t worry, there are all sorts of pro-Timewave groups on Facebook and Reddit. Although even they were at least mildly disappointed. June 19, 2018 at 12:59 am in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #233157 flanl3Participant …there were funny jokes in Timewave? Next time I watch it, I’ll make a list. Don’t bother, I’ll do it for you right here in this very post. June 19, 2018 at 12:53 am in reply to: Who had more control in the early years? #233155 flanl3Participant Why would anyone even design a robot doctor that has four flashing buttons on its front, is a massive fucking blob, and has a flipper spinning on its head? They wouldn’t, that’s for sure, but it doesn’t stop the whole crew from thinking it’s him. June 18, 2018 at 4:39 pm in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #233104 flanl3Participant …there were funny jokes in Timewave? June 18, 2018 at 4:34 pm in reply to: Who had more control in the early years? #233102 flanl3Participant I don’t wanna live in a world where Dr. Lanstrom is serious and yet the Simulant Death Ships™ are silly. June 18, 2018 at 4:12 pm in reply to: The Truth Behind The Quanderhorn Xperimentations? #233098 flanl3Participant What if this is actually that sci-fi idea Doug had been working on around the filming of XI, and he handed it off to Rob because he felt bad for him/wanted to become friends again? June 18, 2018 at 8:08 am in reply to: What if ITV had produced Red Dwarf instead of the BBC? #233049 flanl3Participant The End is not very good, either. It does its job, but it’s pretty weak. From experience, people barely give half a passing shit if you only show them The End. June 18, 2018 at 8:04 am in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #233046 flanl3Participant The space corps directives not being particularly funny is another thing wrong with Timewave. Is that unpopular? Probably not. But it might be unpopular for me to say that Timewave is the only bad episode of Red Dwarf. June 17, 2018 at 7:55 pm in reply to: What if ITV had produced Red Dwarf instead of the BBC? #233021 flanl3Participant He’d have done a better job, too. June 17, 2018 at 12:47 am in reply to: Craig's teeth #232981 flanl3Participant Lister looks fattest in the double Lister scene from Give & Take. Jesus, is he wide. June 16, 2018 at 11:26 pm in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #232972 flanl3Participant Getting back to earth and there being any people there (and earth being real, of course) as a series finale would be worse than any bad episode. June 16, 2018 at 2:01 am in reply to: Doug unable to read fanfics? #232922 flanl3Participant I mean, anything you post on the official site’s forum belongs to GNP, so I think Doug can read fanfic over there. That said, are we going to copy idea for an episode over to there or not? June 16, 2018 at 1:52 am in reply to: We say good things about the Dave-era #232921 flanl3Participant It brought us the incredible “spit on her wrist” joke. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed harder. June 16, 2018 at 1:50 am in reply to: Craig's teeth #232920 flanl3Participant I mean, Norman aged so much that he turned into a flatscreen and looks young again. June 15, 2018 at 12:51 am in reply to: Craig's teeth #232841 flanl3Participant I’d assume that you mean that Danny his been wearing wigs since Death in Paradise series 5, as I know for certain that he still uses his real hair for Red Dwarf. June 11, 2018 at 10:25 pm in reply to: The Important Questions… #232740 flanl3Participant My dream for Red Dwarf is having a plot arc run through a seties which seems to actually matter at all without being shit. June 11, 2018 at 1:09 am in reply to: Jokes you don't/didn't get #232709 flanl3Participant They were sitting in the kitchen in case the crew ran out of food.
