I’m sure we can raise the tone together! October 25, 2016 at 2:41 am in reply to: Series XI #217492 MANI506Participant I’m currently rewatching XI in recording order. I think it is quite good. Krysis is mah favourite episode. October 22, 2016 at 1:55 am in reply to: Mindblowing thing I've just noticed about the Opening Theme… #217304 MANI506Participant I was gonna ask for a time stamp but I heard it! October 5, 2016 at 9:22 pm in reply to: Amazon US is Terrible at Red Dwarf ]]> #216791 MANI506Participant All the TV listings for III, IV, V and VI were numbered in the Radio Times. As soon as the numbers started appearing on screen the TV listings dropped them. October 3, 2016 at 5:14 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf: The Movie #216725 MANI506Participant Euan Magreegor for Lister. October 3, 2016 at 12:49 am in reply to: Should they have continued Red Dwarf after Series VI? #216698 MANI506Participant I think Backwards is better purely for the Ace Rimmer stuff but both novels are best in their abridged audiobook form I think. That said, unabridged new Chris Barrie recordings are still top of my Christmas list. Come on boffins – sort it out! September 26, 2016 at 1:50 am in reply to: What is the story behind this promotional picture? #216432 MANI506Participant That Radio Times article brought me right back to January 1997. I must’ve read that Kochanski was gonna appear as a hologram and then thought to myself ‘really, that explains everything’. I then probably listened to Kula Shaker and had a wank – not much changes in 20 years. September 25, 2016 at 10:55 pm in reply to: After 17 Years, Do We Need Another Fucking Opinion Piece On Series VIII? #216422 MANI506Participant Fan Club magazine 1999 surely. I was still a member then. I will re-join one day, just gotta get my ducks in a row. September 25, 2016 at 10:51 pm in reply to: Samsara & Twentica live recordings? #216421 MANI506Participant The ‘actually there is full frontal nudity’ tease had me scratching my head and going to unsavoury places for ten months. September 25, 2016 at 8:39 pm in reply to: What is the story behind this promotional picture? #216404 MANI506Participant How many times? It’s skelINGtons. September 25, 2016 at 8:37 pm in reply to: Samsara & Twentica live recordings? #216401 MANI506Participant Teh series XI episode 5 set report Dwarf Cast was a good podcast and makes so much more sense now! September 10, 2016 at 11:25 pm in reply to: Who is Responsible for This Laugh? #215627 MANI506Participant All time worst audience reaction is the applause at the end of Only The Good… September 9, 2016 at 3:40 am in reply to: Who is Responsible for This Laugh? #215575 MANI506Participant Wasn’t there going to be a High & Low audience reaction article at one point. We all had fun on Twitter discussing it – I didn’t get to bed until ten past the eleven. September 6, 2016 at 11:28 pm in reply to: Uktv periscope #215490 MANI506Participant I really enjoy most of Craig’s stand up and his audiobook of The Log is a bit of harmless fun. On Bobby’s periscope there’s a bit more UKTV live frolics with Doug. September 4, 2016 at 10:20 pm in reply to: BBC Sitcom Season #214860 MANI506Participant Was it as good as Richard Herring’s proposed ‘Goodnight ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’ Sweetheart’ which was set to feature Nick Lyndhurst traveling back in time to visit the set of Goodnight Sweetheart? August 23, 2016 at 11:21 pm in reply to: SERIES XI PREMIER IN EDINBURGH TOMORROW #214593 MANI506Participant Pendo’s Premier Coooock – looking forward to it! August 23, 2016 at 8:16 pm in reply to: SERIES XI PREMIER IN EDINBURGH TOMORROW #214589 MANI506Participant I would love to see footage of the Q & A or get a podcast of it after Twentica has aired. August 15, 2016 at 10:41 pm in reply to: New Logo. Front. Back. #214537 MANI506Participant Series VIII was the first appearance of the little ‘tm’ next to the F. Unless it first appeared in remastered. August 9, 2016 at 4:33 pm in reply to: School bans governor over 'offensive' T shirt at sports day… #214477 MANI506Participant I wore that T shirt on a non school uniform day in 1993 and no one batted an eyelid (I was 28, no I was 13). I wouldn’t wear it now because people seem to have become over sensitive to shit like this. July 25, 2016 at 2:42 am in reply to: 2017 Calendar Confirmed! #214260 MANI506Participant First one since 2008? July 16, 2016 at 3:30 pm in reply to: Whensitonwhensitonwhensiton? #214178 MANI506Participant Brilliant! Having that DVD in my hand is my biggest ambition. Last time the US had to wait a couple of months and probably didn’t even see the show broadcast, the twats. I live in America now so I will be watching the new series on skype at 3 in the afternoon. July 11, 2016 at 10:50 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf and Muse #214155 MANI506Participant The Suede and Radiohead albums are amazing. July 11, 2016 at 9:21 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf and Muse #214152 MANI506Participant The only bands I know of that have declared their admiration of Red Dwarf are Gerard from My Chemical Romance, Carl Barat from The Libertines and Eternal. I have never heard Oasis say they like the show (as claimed by Patrick Stewart during Red Dwarf night) and I watch a lot of Oasis interviews on YouTube because I refuse to accept the 90s are over. July 6, 2016 at 5:00 am in reply to: "The Starbug Chronicles" Starburst Magazine Feature part one #214101 MANI506Participant Actually smug mode cancelled because according to John’s Xtended Revisited article a separating Starbug model was built but never filmed. That would be interesting to see. July 6, 2016 at 4:45 am in reply to: "The Starbug Chronicles" Starburst Magazine Feature part one #214100 MANI506Participant No because that was CGI. July 4, 2016 at 3:54 pm in reply to: "The Starbug Chronicles" Starburst Magazine Feature part one #214094 MANI506Participant Some beautiful pictures in there of the VII model work. June 23, 2016 at 3:01 pm in reply to: Whensitonwhensitonwhensiton? #214066 MANI506Participant Brilliant! June 22, 2016 at 12:37 am in reply to: Erm… Red Dwarf 1-5 Blurays!? #214061 MANI506Participant All new Rob/Doug/Ed commentaries would make this a must buy. Even better would be if they released the commentaries as podcasts like Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews did a few years back. June 8, 2016 at 10:15 pm in reply to: Hitch-Hexers Guide To The Galaxy #214019 MANI506Participant I find these things to be pretty slow burning. I listened to the first four episodes of The Tertiary Phase in 2004 then gave up. In 2011 The Pod Delusion did an excellent Douglas Adams tribute and that’s when I caught up on the other radio shows and discovered The Salmon Of Doubt, which is up there with IWCD as one of my all time faves. May 31, 2016 at 1:32 pm in reply to: Hitch-Hexers Guide To The Galaxy #214001 MANI506Participant Although I haven’t read the sixth book this new series is a welcome surprise to me, mainly because I thought Dirk Maggs did such a good job of series 3,4 & 5. May 15, 2016 at 1:14 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf – Censored? #213953 MANI506Participant I recommend the instant reaction dwarf casts but I still get a lot of pleasure from BTE and X. I would guess that there’ll be a trailer along for XI in about two months if the run up to X is anything to go by. Having rinsed the heck out of the Dave shows my favourite scenes are from Dear Dave. The Subbuteo scene and the dunking biscuits in the fish tank scene. But overall I love that Red Dwarf is still here and is still weird and funny – those are the reasons I became a fan way back in series two. May 14, 2016 at 1:10 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf – Censored? #213942 MANI506Participant I think the Bottom dub is in series one episode four where Richie says ‘thieving bastard yobbos’. We are lucky to have Red Dwarf on DVD unbutchered. I won’t even consider collecting Only Fools And Horses until it’s released as broadcast for example. April 9, 2016 at 2:43 am in reply to: Red Dwarf meets The Chuckle Brothers #213656 MANI506Participant Nice work Alex S, Great work. April 5, 2016 at 1:17 am in reply to: Nostalgia : TV theme tunes from your early childhood #213644 MANI506Participant I always loved the opening to The Mary Whitehouse Experience. The end credits where the whole show rewound was cool too. April 3, 2016 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Nostalgia : TV theme tunes from your early childhood #213626 MANI506Participant Are you sure you weren’t 28 Si? March 31, 2016 at 10:33 pm in reply to: The 5 Best Red Dwarf Scenes #213593 MANI506Participant I’m going by the VIII documentary on that one. March 31, 2016 at 10:32 pm in reply to: The 5 Best Red Dwarf Scenes #213592 MANI506Participant It was filmed live with the audience but on a set that could only be seen on the moniters. February 27, 2016 at 12:53 pm in reply to: First glimpse of new Kryten costume… #213411 MANI506Participant Even at a Red Dwarf recording, having Kryten sat in front of me would be so weird. February 15, 2016 at 9:28 pm in reply to: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RED DWARF. #213329 MANI506Participant I just want Pecospete back on the RD30 Dwarf Cast. February 4, 2016 at 5:37 pm in reply to: Dirty Feed #213257 MANI506Participant Even though I think MBB peaked at series 4, I have massive nostalgia for this episode because it was broadcast just after my first DJ! December 20, 2015 at 1:20 pm in reply to: Dirty Feed #213017 MANI506Participant Looking forward to this Labour of love! Thank you for all the great reads. December 2, 2015 at 11:07 pm in reply to: Hopes, Dreams, Predictions and Fears: RD XI and XII Speculation #212929 MANI506Participant A big Dwarf coffee table book like The Beatles Anthology would be amazing. December 2, 2015 at 11:05 pm in reply to: Hopes, Dreams, Predictions and Fears: RD XI and XII Speculation #212928 MANI506Participant I associate merchandise with the shallow Dwarf years specifically 98 – 2000. Good merchandise would be welcome but those series VII and VIII T shirts were rubbish apart from ‘Just call me badass!’. Have any fans designed their own BTE/X T shirts? Two suggestions might be Not Mark Benton drinking coffee (Dimension Skids Happen This Time Of Year) and Hougey the Rougey with his Mollie-D (Not If It’s A Schue Pastry You Won’t). November 24, 2015 at 12:52 pm in reply to: Dirty Feed #212878 MANI506Participant I f Did have 1995 repeat and original series 2 on VHS but lost them when I bought the DVD. From memory (and I pretty much memorised series 2) 2015 repeat = original broadcast. November 19, 2015 at 2:08 pm in reply to: New banner #212840 MANI506Participant My new picture is of my London Jets T Shirt. I meant to take it so you could see what it was, but it was a naff effort! November 19, 2015 at 2:06 pm in reply to: New banner #212839 MANI506Participant Most of the banners make me think of a line or a specific word. Love them all as tho’ they were infants of mine. October 8, 2015 at 3:10 am in reply to: Universe Challenge #212687 MANI506Participant I remember at Dimension Jump 97 Doug hinted that Oasis might be interviewed for the A-Z. I would love to hear Noel Gallagher’s opinion of the show. Universe Challenge is the best thing of the whole night because of Chris Barrie’s Packalakadakdak impression at the start. ‘Bloody students’. September 28, 2015 at 9:40 pm in reply to: RDXI/XII tickets: successful? #212637 MANI506Participant I didn’t and I no longer live in the UK so couldn’t have gone anyway. However my friend was successful and I’ll be asking him to write a set report if needed! August 31, 2015 at 5:13 pm in reply to: Craig on projects after corrie #212563 MANI506Participant Amazing theme tune fanfare July 10, 2015 at 6:32 am in reply to: Red Dwarf Mobisodes? #212154 MANI506Participant Skutter fight as in a mobisode version of the scene from Bodysnatcher ?
