October 24, 2012 at 12:03 pm in reply to: GHOSTWATCH #202827 MANI506Participant Could not be more up for this! Look at Craig! Dreads! Brilliant! October 22, 2012 at 11:52 am in reply to: Saturday night YouTubing… #202720 MANI506Participant Hear hear! Dr. Buckles is the best. October 20, 2012 at 3:58 pm in reply to: So… a 4th Series of Bottom is on the way… #202627 MANI506Participant I’ve always felt that Contest was the first recorded – no evidence to back this up though. Might watch the series again this weekend. Digger and Hole are two of the strongest I think. I love Parade! Sad Ken is classic! October 20, 2012 at 3:54 pm in reply to: GHOSTWATCH #202626 MANI506Participant Rewatching Ghostwatch for Halloween is a great idea. Isn’t there supposed to be a documentary coming out as it’s the twentieth anniversary? October 19, 2012 at 9:16 pm in reply to: This is a Dwarfcast….or is it? #202610 MANI506Participant Way back in the distant past I do remember the series 3 kick off being a little jarring. I became a fan around about series 2 and endlessly rewatched Queeg before Backwards was aired. There was a feeling of something not quite right! October 18, 2012 at 6:51 pm in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #202522 MANI506Participant I have a wedding which I have to go to on May 4th otherwise I would be there. Might see if I can work around it but not looking good. October 16, 2012 at 5:46 pm in reply to: RDXDVD? #202443 MANI506Participant Brutal! October 16, 2012 at 10:14 am in reply to: So… a 4th Series of Bottom is on the way… #202422 MANI506Participant I know that Bottom got unfunny with the third live show but what of Guest House Paradiso? I’ve only seen it once and can’t remember anything about it. Is it as bad as I assume it is? October 16, 2012 at 7:49 am in reply to: RDXDVD? #202420 MANI506Participant Put my name down for one of those Pete Tranter’s Sister! I both own a working VCR and give a shit! October 8, 2012 at 10:16 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf Wikia #202143 MANI506Participant I hit Random Page and got the entry for Pete Part 2 :( October 8, 2012 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Anyone else spot the continuity smeg up? #202142 MANI506Participant Agreed, Cat’s line is fine. It’s a shame about Sim Crauford still being in the room after she teleported away. It’ll go down in history as one of the great production smeg ups along with the elbow in the window from The End, the crew appearing on Holly’s monitor in Terrorform and Lister walking off the edge of the set in Marooned. October 4, 2012 at 6:34 pm in reply to: Dave Wrote This #201931 MANI506Participant Very well put piece Dave and that pretty much sums up how I feel as well. I’ve been a fan since series 2 but every series that came after pushed my enthusiasm higher and higher until it peaked at VI. I enjoyed all the Red Dwarf we’ve had since then and I’ve greedily devoured every DVD that has since come out but tonight does feel special in the way that ‘Psirens’ did all those years ago. Great headline and I think Kula Shaker are great as well! October 1, 2012 at 10:10 am in reply to: Fat bastard G&T member attempts to walk a marathon for charity #201854 MANI506Participant Getting hit really hard in the bollocks – gotta be. September 28, 2012 at 11:12 pm in reply to: Rare Vanessa Feltz interview with Bobby and Norm 99 #201763 MANI506Participant Oh. September 28, 2012 at 11:12 pm in reply to: Rare Vanessa Feltz interview with Bobby and Norm 99 #201762 MANI506Participant Series VIII looks great judging by those clips! Hooray – the boys are back! September 28, 2012 at 10:56 pm in reply to: Thoughts on Rob Grant #201760 MANI506Participant Identity Within is something I rewatched again recently and it does get better with each watch I find. Nothing hilarious happens but it’s a fascinating curio and a pretty decent story as well. Bodysnatcher is such a lovely thing to have considering all we’d heard about it for years was one or two throwaway comments in old Rob and Doug interviews. The real joy of the Bodysnatcher Collection though is having Rob and Doug back together again for hopefully not the last time. September 27, 2012 at 9:29 pm in reply to: Norman interviewed by Stephen Gately on film shot at Laredo #201693 MANI506Participant Upload it thomasevans! Upload it now! September 22, 2012 at 9:48 pm in reply to: How "Only the Good…" becomes "Every Dog…" #201340 MANI506Participant Great turd polish as always! The last ten minutes as assembled by srmcd1 is about three million times better than the broadcast version. Which is annoying. September 22, 2012 at 9:17 pm in reply to: Thoughts on Rob Grant #201338 MANI506Participant Just taking a moment to imagine series XI written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor… You’re right Ben, probably won’t happen! September 22, 2012 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Back to Earth isn't Shit #201332 MANI506Participant The only bits I don’t like about BTE are the tomato scene and the toilet discussion in the bunk scene. All the performances are great and Mike Seymour deserves a medal. It is definitely not shit! I laughed like a twat at the zoom in bit and the priory line. September 22, 2012 at 8:40 pm in reply to: The Man In The Rubber Mask AudioBook #201331 MANI506Participant Brilliant – best fiver I ever spent! September 22, 2012 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Thoughts on Rob Grant #201330 MANI506Participant Thanks Seb! Sorry I was too lazy to just check the DVD. Doug has always said that the door’s open for Rob to return and I think it’s likely that he will because The Bodysnatcher Collection demonstrated that they’re still getting on fine, as far as I can tell Series X has re-established the classic III-VI status quo and I don’t need a third reason because the first two were so great. September 22, 2012 at 9:41 am in reply to: Thoughts on Rob Grant #201283 MANI506Participant I’m definitely going to re read Colony because of this thread. Is there a ‘created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor’ credit on every episode since Rob left? I don’t remember one being there for BTE. If not, why not?! I could just put the DVD on but thought I’d ask here. September 20, 2012 at 8:06 pm in reply to: This is a Dwarfcast….or is it? #201148 MANI506Participant Yes! With all due respect this introcast could use someone with comprehensive knowledge of the show stepping in. I think you should be on it every week Cappsy! September 17, 2012 at 10:42 pm in reply to: areolas #201057 MANI506Participant The joke makes sense if it was just Lister watching the documentary about breasts and Rimmer overheard the word ‘areolas’ before making his Spanish footballer misunderstanding. I can understand Doug wanting to keep this joke and doing his best to make it work as it is a clever one, but it does feel a bit crowbarred and forced to me. Just being a picky cunt. I laughed out loud at the previous two trailers and I’m looking forward to the series. To say the least. September 15, 2012 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Best Series 7 Lines #200899 MANI506Participant ‘Hello wall, what do you think?’ Not really. I keep changing my mind about VII and VIII. At the moment I think VII is under rated and VIII has a decent enough first half and then a total mess for the last four episodes. September 3, 2012 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Doctor Who Series 7 #126408 MANI506Participant I wouldn’t call myself a Doctor Who fan but I really enjoyed that and I’d say it was my favourite Dalek episode of all. I should think there are a few plot holes but I didn’t see the twist coming and I was moved by the Ponds getting back together. There’s a podcast I like called The Complete Guide To Everything and their last one about Doctor Who had me chortling fatly throughout. September 3, 2012 at 5:27 am in reply to: 23AD #126394 MANI506Participant I think this is the silliest thread I’ve ever been a part of. So I’d like to take you out for dinner. September 2, 2012 at 8:52 pm in reply to: 23AD #126381 MANI506Participant The cheese shop on record is much funnier than the tv show. Same with Eric Idle’s Watneys Red Barrel monologue. September 2, 2012 at 8:48 pm in reply to: Commentaries Commentary #126380 MANI506Participant Just watched Back To Earth with the Doug Naylor commentary – wonderful. I was really hopeful for more Doug commentaries on the RDX DVD. Time will tell but signs aren’t looking good. September 2, 2012 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Commentaries Commentary #126368 MANI506Participant Naughty old Peter De Lane. Brilliant. September 1, 2012 at 3:54 pm in reply to: Commentaries Commentary #126330 MANI506Participant I’ve been listening to the Rob/Doug and Ed commentaries off of The Bodysnatcher collection. Fascinating! Especially the secret Spitting Image chat. I’d agree that Barrie watching series 7 go down the shitter after he left is an audio delight. Duct Soup is particularly good for this. August 30, 2012 at 5:11 am in reply to: Best and worst episode endings #118201 MANI506Participant The only ending that I really hate is Only The Good as broadcast. The alternate ending is better and the audience applause seems right in that case. When I saw the broadcast version I thought Death was stupid and the caption was stupid and I DIDN’T FEEL LIKE APPLAUSING. Just off to the Angry Dome… As mentioned TFTM is very satisfying and Backwards leaves on a great woofer. The Justice and Terrorform endings have bothered me a tiny bit in the past but I like both now. I always thought the ending to both Polymorphs were a bit pony. All time favourite is Out Of Time. Stunning. August 29, 2012 at 9:10 pm in reply to: Good Moments, Bad Half Hours #118163 MANI506Participant Dennis the doughnut boy probably annoyed me a bit at the time but looking back now I think that it is a funny idea and makes sense when watching series 1 and 2. August 29, 2012 at 1:36 pm in reply to: Good Moments, Bad Half Hours #118140 MANI506Participant I don’t rate Cassandra highly because of the ridiculous Roverostomy gag and the even more ridiculous ‘Kryten figured it out’ contrived ending. However there are two amazing dialogue scenes in the middle with some great lines. Namely; ‘Do I ever find my singing tie pin’ and ‘your station is Git Central’. I found the whole of the Rimmer Experience scene hilarious in 97 and I still find it hilarious now. Maybe the episode should have been called The Rimmer Experience! August 27, 2012 at 9:03 am in reply to: Rimmer #118021 MANI506Participant Nearly time for the hot Barrie action we were promised! August 24, 2012 at 1:06 pm in reply to: So… a 4th Series of Bottom is on the way… #117169 MANI506Participant Great set in the Gas episode as well of the outside of the flat, Wimbledon common as well and of course the ferris wheel itself. Whoever the set designer was they did some exceptional work. August 24, 2012 at 10:18 am in reply to: So… a 4th Series of Bottom is on the way… #117178 MANI506Participant Bottom is funnier than The Young Ones but thanks to an article from Noise To Signal I found out that Filthy Rich and Catflap is at least as good as those two shows if not better. August 24, 2012 at 4:14 am in reply to: So… a 4th Series of Bottom is on the way… #117185 MANI506Participant Slip Digsby! The organist? Well, that’s not what they called him in court. Ferris Wheel episode is the best! August 23, 2012 at 9:42 pm in reply to: So… a 4th Series of Bottom is on the way… #117697 MANI506Participant Love the BBC series and the first two live shows. No idea why it wasn’t funny any more. August 21, 2012 at 8:28 pm in reply to: Unreleased Red Dwarf VHS Covers #117494 MANI506Participant Ouch! Not pretty but very interesting to see. Double pack releases seemed inevitable back then – I remember thinking it was only a matter of time before these showed up! August 19, 2012 at 11:58 am in reply to: SAVE DAVE! #117058 MANI506Participant Great to see Larry again. Haven’t seen Curb for ages. August 19, 2012 at 11:04 am in reply to: Pecospete666 appreciation thread #117053 MANI506Participant I owe my life to him *grins at camera* August 19, 2012 at 9:19 am in reply to: Pecospete666 appreciation thread #117040 MANI506Participant ‘Everybody needs an Andrew Collins’ – Andrew Collins August 17, 2012 at 9:18 am in reply to: Downfall-2 #117821 MANI506Participant Hitler Act 2: Back In The Habit.
