Oh yes, they were very good about meeting the fans afterwards. I got a signed programme and poster. Both now lost.

My friend Joy Amy was Queen of the Show in Cheltenham for having a chastity belt on display in her front room.

This has inspired me to watch the camping episode from series 2. Great set! Also this episode wasn’t originally shown for some reason.

What bugs me is that on the series 2 DVD I’ve got the episodes are in the wrong order and the inferior extended version of Holy is included as standard.

Mansun were amazing IMHO. Bought the albums from HMV and then spent years collecting all the singles on Amazon. B sides are amazing.

That must have been series 3 of Fry and Laurie Carlito. The best series!

My brother was watching Better Than Life and I walked in during the restaurant scene. It was 1988 and I was 8. We videoed Queeg and watched it over and over until series 3 was aired a year later. I remember the shock of seeing Backwards for the first time!
Didn’t video series 4 but watched it go out, went BANANAS for series 5 though. Joined the fan club, got the smegazines, bought the videos – you name it.
Finally saw series 1 in 1993 when it was released on video although my brother definitely saw Me2 go out live. It was the talk of the playground apparently.

    I am interested in seeing these lists! Mine were;

    1.Timeslides
    2. Queeg
    3. Marooned
    4. Kryten
    5. Justice
    6. White Hole
    7. Trojan
    8. Holoship
    9. Thanks For The Memory
    10. Dimension Jump

    52. Cassandra
    53. Back To Earth part 3
    54. Ouroboros
    55. Pete part 1
    56. Beyond A Joke
    57. Duct Soup
    58. Krytie TV
    59. Only The Good…
    60. Back In The Red part 3
    61. Pete part 2

I may have been slightly over generous to Trojan (really better than Dimension Jump?!) but I got such a feelgood buzz from it. Also I have been influenced by recent bashings of Backwards and Parallel Universe. Backwards would have easily made top ten in 2008.

Duckula was just as good, if not better, than I remembered. Great music and artwork throughout as well. Seriously considering the box set – there are twenty five 5 star reviews on Amazon!

The 1997 calendar was exciting. That, along with the Survival Manual, was our first glimpse of series VII. Kryten’s head looked well weird lol.

I just saw Graham McTavish in season 8 of 24. What a bastard.

I actively enjoyed the first hour of The Hobbit and only thought ‘End!’ three times after that. 7 on 10.

I went swimming with Duncan Goodhew when I was ten. We played ‘what’s the time Mr Shark?’ at Maidstone Leosure Centre. When Duncan said ‘it’s dinner time!’ he tried to grab our legs. I don’t think sports celebrities would do that now.

The episode where the Simpsons went to Florida was my jumping off point. Kid Rock was in it. Depressing.

Can quote the first ten years or so endlessly and I have enjoyed a few of the episodes I’ve seen since then. Also I thought the movie was good.

Blackadder’s Christmas Carol is either my favourite episode or very near to it.
    Bottom Holy – of course.
    A Christmassy Ted.
    Here’s an odd one though…

BBC2 showed an animated version of Gary Larson’s The Far Side one Christmas. I remember it being amazing and watched it all over Christmas 95. After that it… fell off. I’ll hunt for that later.

The only unabridged versions of the first two novels for download are on audible. As far as I know. Chris reading Last Human and Backwards unabridged – I’d definitely buy those!

I think the audiobook of Last Human is better without the DNA stuff. That was some serious shoe horning!

The Gunmen stuff in Backwards maybe would have been best kept in but the best part of Backwards by far is Ace.

I say Tick-a because that’s how Hugh Laurie pronounced it in a brilliant sketch from Fry and Laurie series 3.

It’s a sketch about a spy and his boss played by Hugh and Stephen. They speak over each other for a few lines and then Hugh is left saying ‘chicken tikka masala’ which generates a huge laugh from the audience.

Smashing Pumpkins. Love most of Infinite Sadness and have listened to it lots of times over.

Can’t get into any of their other stuff at all. But for Cupid De Locke alone I deem them worthy.

There’s only one thing better than a Dr Buckles song, and that’s Dr Buckles doing a Bob Dylan impression.

I’m just going for an instrumental version of Last Christmas looped throughout the big day. The morning DJ on 6music uses it as a bed and it always makes me smile.

I bought Don’t Let The Bells End on three formats because I wanted it to be number one so much! The new Darkness album is brilliant as well.

I insist that Si must watch all of Prince Among Men and then blog an episode guide.

If Prince Among Men gets lost to the ages… then that’s perfectly ok with me.

I really really liked Craig’s Live on Earth set when I was 15. I have his official bootleg video as well which is rubbish but does feature Craig learning the opening to series 7 on a bus.

A recording of The 10%ers would be good if anyone has that? I remember the pilot and the ‘shakier than a silicon implant ward during an earthquake’ line being used in an episode.

I remember one catchphrase from A Prince Among Men being ‘Hey, I’m always right.’ I only watched episode 1.

I actually had the idea of using underpantski twice and entering it today. I thought a good natured reference to series seven might endear me to Doug. Sadly I had the idea two hours after the competition closed. Oh well, the DVD will be bought and devoured on Monday anyway.

The love of my life Kochanski

I thought the first three episodes were consistently great. Even Taiwan Tony was only on screen for about a minute. Episodes four and five were a bit scrappy and The Beginning delivered in all departments. I still got the biggest buzz from Trojan and probably the most laughs as well. But what do I know, I liked Craig Charles’ stand up.

I’ve said this before but my mate who I went to DJ97 and 98 with and has hated everything since series VII is loving the new series! He has rated every episode at least 8/10.
