Lost count of how many times I laughed. Classic Alan. It’s also got the cringe factor back.

I noticed the heroic music from Trojan cropping up in an advert this week. Think it was for a credit card. As you were.

My general feeling is that VII was a good idea not always executed well and VIII was just bad.

I get so annoyed by how uncritical the VIII documentary is. Norman is the only voice of sanity in the commentary. The VII DVD is frank and honest and one of the best.

Bring back Norman and Hattie for one episode. I’m sure Doug can write around that one.

Really looking forward to the Tikka To Ride episode! The quiz episode was great as well. If you haven’t subscribed then now is the time!

I’m on episode 8 but this has been a useful reminder as to what is going on. I think one of the reasons I’m not laughing so much is because seasons 1 and 2 were watched with a group whereas these episodes I’m watching on my own. We abandoned season 3 a few episodes in I remember.

As a casual viewer I thought the first episode this year was amazing, the Mark Gatiss one (Crimson Horror with Diana Rigg) was his personal best the last episode was very enjoyable.

The others I either can’t remember or didn’t like. One thing I will say is that the theme tune sounds amazing on head phones. This was the first time I’ve downloaded to the iPhone.

Yeah, I know what you mean. There was no need for the slasher elements in Hot Fuzz or at least they could have been toned down a bit. I’m guessing Edgar Wright just loves a bit of slop.

More the merrier! I certainly loved this episode on first broadcast. I was gagging for it and as far as I was concerned it delivered in spades. The rest of the series not so much although there are fantastic moments. As mentioned in the G&T podcast, the opening montage is first class!

My gut feeling is that they’re going to love Tikka To Ride with some reservations about the models.

I also fully expect them to spot the continuity fuck up straight away.

Nostradamus and his flighty horse predicts… RDXI filmed towards the end of 2014, RDXI broadcast Autumn 2014, DJ XVIII April 2015.

Some just might say that I just took the RDX, DJXVII schedule and shifted it forward two years.

Best episodes are The Red Door, The Work Outing, Are We Not Men and The Final Countdown.

I often do a Matt Berry impression when there’s somebody at the door.

I just bought series 1 of Stuff on VHS. Unusually for a video released in the late 80s it seems to have the whole series on one tape. Hope the tracking’s ok.
