Hmm, I think I’ll wait until I’ve read The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul before I investigate further. All the reviews on Amazon I’ve seen have been so so to poor. March 13, 2013 at 11:00 am in reply to: Did any of the original RD model end up in the skip? #206673 MANI506Participant It looks like the remastered model but if it was retrieved in 1996 it’s more likely to be a bit from the series V one. I think it’s from remastered and the dates have gotten mixed up. March 13, 2013 at 6:50 am in reply to: Google guide to the galaxy #206670 MANI506Participant Finally got around to reading The Salmon Of Doubt and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. Completely wonderful. Re read them both several times. Also all five radio series are brilliant. a. It’s a shame that the movie he spent so long trying to make turned out to be mostly mediocre and b. is it worth reading And Another Thing? February 28, 2013 at 6:05 pm in reply to: NO NEWS from OZ #206541 MANI506Participant The podcast is very good – they are enthusiastic! February 28, 2013 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Let's argue about Parallel Universe #206540 MANI506Participant I fucking LOVED Tongue Tied when I first got the Byte Two VHS in 1992. I love cheesy 80s pop anyway but that rocked my world when I was 12. I even sent off for a cassette of the full version from Better Than Life. It is a great great song. The episode’s pretty good as well. Totty, totty, totty. ‘Are you a man or a munchkin?’ Great stuff! February 28, 2013 at 6:53 am in reply to: NO NEWS from OZ #206528 MANI506Participant Please don’t make a fuss, I’m just plain Yoghurt. February 25, 2013 at 2:16 pm in reply to: Dwarf Casts #206474 MANI506Participant If you haven’t heard the Dirty Feed Bodysnatcher cast you must. It is splendissimo. February 25, 2013 at 2:14 pm in reply to: Dwarf Casts #206473 MANI506Participant I’d really like a Back In The Red Dwarf Cast because, like Tikka, it’s one of the later episodes I’m most conflicted about. There’s genuine laughs in the first part and then the whole thing gets bogged down and weak as it goes on. But even by part 3 there are still funny lines here and there. The Tikka, Can’t Smeg Won’t Smeg and The End Original Assembly are my personal favourite Casts but yeah no I like them all. Just The Interviews was quality as well. Bodysnatcher, Universe Challenge… These Dwarf Casts could run and run. February 22, 2013 at 9:45 am in reply to: Red Dwarf X Quotes #206455 MANI506Participant I like it when they say smeg at the start of Lemons. Aside, I really do like it when they say smeg. February 15, 2013 at 6:37 am in reply to: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RED DWARF. #206338 MANI506Participant It remains my only full on TV obsession to this day. I definitely came to the show through a love of sitcom via Blackadder, Colin’s Sandwich, Only Fools & Horses, Dads Army and whatever else was on at the time. We’ve been extremely well catered for even in the barren years with the superb DVD releases. Who would have thought that series 8 would be a must buy? I still can’t really believe The Bodysnatcher DVD came out – what other fan community would get a treat like that! Series X pretty much defined 2012 for me. I genuinely quivered with excitement when Trojan aired! But enough of this tot, happy birthday to the small rouge one and a small toast to those who sadly didn’t make the full journey.
