That said, I generally prefer XI. I’ve been having a hot, steamy love affair with Officer Rimmer since it aired regardless of how it kinda falls apart in the last couple minutes. There’s no other episode post-VI that I like as much as it. April 2, 2026 at 6:05 am in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #318127 MoonlightParticipant I’m filling a burlap sack with doorknobs as we speak. April 2, 2026 at 5:10 am in reply to: Mundane observation dome #318123 MoonlightParticipant The only good “all a dream” fan theory in history is that VII and VIII take place in an unreality bubble. April 2, 2026 at 5:07 am in reply to: You Red Dwarf Looping GIFs #318122 MoonlightParticipant He’s animated like you’re speaking to the shopkeeper in an early 90s DOS game. April 2, 2026 at 5:04 am in reply to: Your Unpopular Red Dwarf Opinions #318121 MoonlightParticipant I know this thread is a safe haven for free expression but I’m still gonna kick your ass. April 1, 2026 at 8:32 pm in reply to: Mundane observation dome #318106 MoonlightParticipant We’ve all heard the proposition, exciting as any coma theory, that they’re still in Better Than Life for the whole series from the point they enter, so I’m prepared to blow your goddamn minds with another fan theory that recontextualizes a significant portion of the show in a non-pointless way: Kryten is never shown to be reprogrammed back to normal in Krytie TV—therefore he must be still in that state for the rest of the show. What does this fan theory seek to explain? Well, it sure makes for a good AI-narrated YouTube short aimed at people who haven’t watched the show in 20 years. April 1, 2026 at 5:17 pm in reply to: Thread for reporting Smega-Drive subtitle errors #318100 MoonlightParticipant April 1, 2026 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Sonic Mania #318099 MoonlightParticipant I’m still trying to find Rankles and win my one million pounds. I heard a tip from someone on the playground that if you beat Sonic 3 without dying 15 times in a row he appears and you unlock Sally Acorn. April 1, 2026 at 5:08 pm in reply to: Mundane observation dome #318098 MoonlightParticipant Somehow I’ve never encountered it before. April 1, 2026 at 6:23 am in reply to: “Pete” shouldn’t have been a 2-parter: “Only the Good” should have #318074 MoonlightParticipant That’s near the end of season 3, actually, when the show is somewhat losing its marbles. April 1, 2026 at 5:48 am in reply to: Mundane observation dome #318070 MoonlightParticipant The April Fools joke is as lousy as it is brilliant. March 31, 2026 at 9:05 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #318057 MoonlightParticipant THE BECK FILES Lister discovers a Beck album and gets super into Beck. Special guest star Beck as Beck. March 31, 2026 at 9:00 pm in reply to: “Pete” shouldn’t have been a 2-parter: “Only the Good” should have #318056 MoonlightParticipant I would pay to see this version. March 31, 2026 at 8:19 pm in reply to: Idea for an episode. #318051 MoonlightParticipant THE GEX FILES When a mysterious intruder begins stealing Lister’s dinner every night, Cat blames a talking Gecko called Gex who has the same voice as him, thus providing him an alibi for the repeated cries of “Aaaaooooowwww! I’m gonna eat you little chicky!” March 31, 2026 at 8:13 pm in reply to: “Pete” shouldn’t have been a 2-parter: “Only the Good” should have #318049 MoonlightParticipant I herald from the universe where Pete is a two-part episode of Frasier. March 31, 2026 at 4:46 am in reply to: Smugle or Strugle? – Dispatches From Smegle #318031 MoonlightParticipant #RedDwarf #Smegle 31/03/2026 I was wrong about the specific shot but I knew the scene. March 30, 2026 at 5:36 pm in reply to: Mundane observation dome #318018 MoonlightParticipant The Dave era features two gags of Rimmer working a calculator keypad for an extended period of time to get an obvious result, but he’s taking the piss and miming it the first time. March 30, 2026 at 4:42 am in reply to: Smugle or Strugle? – Dispatches From Smegle #317997 MoonlightParticipant #RedDwarf #Smegle 30/03/2026 I was bound to get it eventually. I bought the book like two months ago with the intent of reading it before I saw the movie and then I forgot. March 29, 2026 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Mundane observation dome #317980 MoonlightParticipant The real enemies of democracy are children stealing apples. Am I allowed to remember him from that? I still want to say I know him from Westworld and I’m not sure I’ve seen that in 15 years. March 27, 2026 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Mundane observation dome #317913 MoonlightParticipant I’m Discord friends with the guy who wrote the English script for Skies of Arcadia, a beloved childhood Dreamcast RPG of mine. I’m like 95% sure he’s not annoyed by me if we’re still chatting on and off 6 years later. March 27, 2026 at 5:04 pm in reply to: Mundane observation dome #317908 MoonlightParticipant I once caused Iain Lee to have several on-air breakdowns. For as long as I’ve been here I’m still not sure I actually know who Iain Lee is. March 27, 2026 at 4:40 am in reply to: Smugle or Strugle? – Dispatches From Smegle #317872 MoonlightParticipant I keep having to fix the date when I do these before midnight. I’m confused. March 27, 2026 at 2:08 am in reply to: Jokes you don't/didn't get #317870 MoonlightParticipant Paul Alexander must’ve been asleep at the wheel while script editing. March 27, 2026 at 1:23 am in reply to: Jokes you don't/didn't get #317865 MoonlightParticipant Series VIII feels like watching one giant first draft. March 27, 2026 at 1:21 am in reply to: Mundane observation dome #317864 MoonlightParticipant I also annoyed Mike Reiss on Twitter a couple years ago but that one I’m OK with. And that if not riots, I would at least be outside chucking rocks at street lights. If you read that unambiguously silly post and thought it was genuinely insisting anything that’s on you. I was making fun of the type of fan comment that you’re misrepresenting my post as being one of and I genuinely don’t know how I could’ve been more obvious about that. March 26, 2026 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Your Updated Red Dwarf Gags #317846 MoonlightParticipant March 26, 2026 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Jokes you don't/didn't get #317844 MoonlightParticipant I want to make a fan edit of Duel that removes the occasional internal monologue of the main character. I think every single scene it’s used it in would be more tense without it and you’d still be able to read what he’s thinking from the physical performance. I really do think its inclusion is a side effect of the movie being adapted from a short story and it would never have been there if it had been conceived as a film. Has anyone besides me even seen it to know what I’m referring to? Do my 200+ Blu-rays make me a bigger movie nerd than the rest of you? Or at least a more financially irresponsible one? March 26, 2026 at 4:24 am in reply to: Jokes you don't/didn't get #317817 MoonlightParticipant Series VIII feels like watching one giant first draft.
