April 26, 2008 at 8:15 pm in reply to: Superglued my fingers together… #122885 Paul MullerParticipant Yeah I showed it to my girlfriend and that was the first thing she said. Sigmund Freud eat your heart out… April 2, 2008 at 12:12 pm in reply to: NOOOOOOOOO HELP ME #122092 Paul MullerParticipant “Did anybody else try to make her cross-eyed?” Yeah. Took me a while to realise it wasn’t going to happen. April 1, 2008 at 10:09 am in reply to: NOOOOOOOOO HELP ME #122060 Paul MullerParticipant Terrifying. March 28, 2008 at 1:00 am in reply to: “Red Dwarf’s Star Bug doesn’t have guns on the front, but I couldn’t resist these mandibal-like blasters” #121982 Paul MullerParticipant Yeah i suppose so. Also, whilst we’re on the subject. http://www.starshipmodeler.info/gallery6/jr_giga.htm March 24, 2008 at 5:52 pm in reply to: Slightly disturbing Youtube find. #121890 Paul MullerParticipant Thanks. It’s bloody odd, but pretty interesting. “Is it true you was a racist, and an informant for J Edgar Hoover?” Actually, am watching more and more of it, and just keeps getting better/worse. Vocoder version is bizarre, as is Danny’s triangular haircut. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=etWN7Hs6qeA http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X6LBxWisdOI http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eVofWV3YaIo February 28, 2008 at 6:19 pm in reply to: I Would Just Like to Denounce… #120971 Paul MullerParticipant I like tequila and pork pie jelly. and colouring in. February 27, 2008 at 11:46 pm in reply to: I Would Just Like to Announce… #120934 Paul MullerParticipant I would just like to announce… I just looked at the clock, saw 23.40 and immediately thought “Oh,that’s the year Kryten was created.” I want my life back. February 23, 2008 at 9:37 pm in reply to: Better than Life by 2033? #120746 Paul MullerParticipant No, it’s worse. February 20, 2008 at 1:35 am in reply to: Your toastie combinations #120631 Paul MullerParticipant MARMITE WITH GRATED MELTED CHEESE ON TOP. January 13, 2008 at 3:27 pm in reply to: The Film Effect #119355 Paul MullerParticipant I actually quite like the film effect, as used in Series VII. I suppose it helped that because it wasn’t shot in front of an audience they could light it a lot better. It just brings out the detail in everything. I remember seeing the Series VIII trailer for the first time and thinking, ‘Oh no, they’ve got rid of it!” I think that that’s partly why I didn’t like the last series, it just made it look a bit cheap. January 3, 2008 at 3:44 pm in reply to: gannymede & titan? #118968 Paul MullerParticipant Just reminds me of Runnymede. December 31, 2007 at 11:39 am in reply to: Oh you Gwenlan #118906 Paul MullerParticipant My Grandma loved it. December 31, 2007 at 11:37 am in reply to: Voyage of the Damned #118905 Paul MullerParticipant such as Red Dwarf. December 31, 2007 at 11:35 am in reply to: Is this Ed Bye? #118899 Paul MullerParticipant Yeah it is Ed. Bye. December 29, 2007 at 9:22 am in reply to: Stephen Serafinowicz #118847 Paul MullerParticipant No. December 10, 2007 at 12:39 pm in reply to: Green Green Grass #118352 Paul MullerParticipant Yeah, it’s excruciating. I don’t watch much TV either, but only because our aerial is broken and the landlord won’t cough up for a new one, the COMPLETE BASTARD. December 8, 2007 at 4:27 pm in reply to: Mrs Doubtfire #126237 Paul MullerParticipant ‘And I urge anyone to try to sit through Bicentenial Man >without throwing up’ I managed to sit through it without throwing up. But when it had finished I realised I’d accidentally clawed out my own eyes. December 6, 2007 at 12:54 am in reply to: Slightly mad conspiracy theory #126185 Paul MullerParticipant I like the scene in Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers where we see him actually cracking up after coming out of stasis, riding on escalators naked and shouting abuse at Holly. I don’t know why I like it, I think i’m just a bit wierd. December 6, 2007 at 12:19 am in reply to: The End – The Smeg it is or not? #126182 Paul MullerParticipant Right. Everyone take a deep breath….1,2,3…And relax. I’ll make some tea and we can get on with our lives. December 2, 2007 at 4:44 pm in reply to: NEW ZEALAND AD. #126093 Paul MullerParticipant “GNP just held it back for the next release” Red Dwarf: The New Zealand TV advert Collection. December 2, 2007 at 4:40 pm in reply to: The End – The Smeg it is or not? #126092 Paul MullerParticipant Right. I’ve been looking for an excuse to skive off writing my culture studies essay , so thanks. I think you’re right about the ending. The whole ‘Death’ scene is a bit ridiculous. Kneeing Death in the balls? This is Rimmer we’re talking about here, he’d probably just have a panic attack or beg for mercy like a little girl. The caption at the end was particularly enraging. Presumably as another series or movie was supposed to follow. But given the situation now, a better wording might be The End…. Smeg. It is. December 2, 2007 at 2:22 am in reply to: NEW ZEALAND AD. #126084 Paul MullerParticipant It is. But nice to see anyway. Wierd mixture of various series’ sets and costumes as well. November 27, 2007 at 11:50 am in reply to: Sexual Attitudes are Opposite? #125976 Paul MullerParticipant What’s a worm do? November 26, 2007 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Misheard lines #125959 Paul MullerParticipant So it wasn’t, “I drank all the goldfish.”? Also. “Ouroborous” – “He must be thicker than a ticket tout’s wad.” Got that about a week ago, always thought it was something like “ticket tell’s what”. Still don’t get it. And Lister’s line to Rimmer after he calls Lister 3rd rate scum, I still can’t work out. Honestly, I just cannot work out what Craig is saying. Help me. November 22, 2007 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Inconsistencies #125855 Paul MullerParticipant I was with you right up to space monkeys. November 22, 2007 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Dwarfian Moments #125853 Paul MullerParticipant I’ve spent many a drunk night playing the coin on forehead game. November 21, 2007 at 10:20 pm in reply to: TV spotting #125828 Paul MullerParticipant I’d be quite happy if Howard Goodall just did the music for everything ever, including real life. I’d feel much better in general if my pointless existence was accompanied by a stirring soundtrack. November 21, 2007 at 11:52 am in reply to: Ducktales alternate intro… #125810 Paul MullerParticipant That was harrowing to say the least. November 20, 2007 at 5:11 pm in reply to: TV spotting #125796 Paul MullerParticipant Saw ‘sister’ Talia Garrett in an advert for painkillers or incontinence pads or something. November 15, 2007 at 1:44 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf on Dave #125717 Paul MullerParticipant I was quite excited when I heard that Red Dwarf was on Dave. But then I walked past the big billboard outside my house, promoting the channel as ‘the home of witty banter’, which made me want to hunt down it’s PR department and bludgeon them with a section of lead piping. Might still tune in though. November 15, 2007 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Secret Messege in theme??? #125716 Paul MullerParticipant It does sort of fit the series though. About being lost and lost love and I guess the sad moron bit could refer to Rimmer. Not sure about the shit bush though. And who’s Louise? November 14, 2007 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Spin on! #125689 Paul MullerParticipant Andrew? November 10, 2007 at 2:55 am in reply to: Re-Mastered Broadcast Dates #125616 Paul MullerParticipant ?Two times a night? What is wrong with the corporation? She?s Dwarf mad!? Not any more. November 9, 2007 at 3:35 pm in reply to: Re-Mastered Broadcast Dates #125597 Paul MullerParticipant Several heavy blows to the head. November 8, 2007 at 12:37 am in reply to: The Greatest Pun Of All Time #125545 Paul MullerParticipant It was Christmas Eve I was walking to the village church for the late night carol service. As I strolled down the road, I saw old Roger the farmer, stood in a field with a shetland pony. He was caressing it gently with his hands, running them up and down it’s back and mane. “Are you not coming to the carol service Roger?” I called. “Ahh not tonight,” replied the farmer. “But it’ll do you good, a big old sing-along, it clears your chest!” I said. “I know,” replied Roger, “But I’m feeling a little horse at the moment.” November 4, 2007 at 12:38 pm in reply to: Talkie Toaster on the escalator at Euston Station #125471 Paul MullerParticipant Et voila! http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o26/roomwithaview86/Photo-0137.jpg October 31, 2007 at 2:03 pm in reply to: Favourite Smeg-Up? #125323 Paul MullerParticipant “I think I’m on fire….F**** I am!” October 31, 2007 at 1:28 am in reply to: Red Dwarf Audios #125309 Paul MullerParticipant “Fan fics are never as funny” That’s true. October 31, 2007 at 1:27 am in reply to: Dialogue in porn films that really puts you off #125308 Paul MullerParticipant I watched one once that featured the following line: Woman: *Aroused sorts of sounds* Man: “MASSIVE HORSE PUSSY!” The ensuing mental image really killed the moment. October 24, 2007 at 1:21 am in reply to: sci-fi nerd style red dwarf thred – beware! #125156 Paul MullerParticipant That’s cool. I wrote mine when I was drunk. October 22, 2007 at 2:57 am in reply to: Would you sleep with the person who posted below you? #125092 Paul MullerParticipant I’m pretty picky when it comes to this sort of thing so yes, but only for a pint, a packet of Real McCoys and ?2.30 to get the bus home. October 22, 2007 at 2:52 am in reply to: Regarding Lister’s imprisonment in Stasis #125091 Paul MullerParticipant Lister, is that a threat? October 19, 2007 at 9:02 pm in reply to: sci-fi nerd style red dwarf thred – beware! #125068 Paul MullerParticipant You get the idea. October 19, 2007 at 6:53 pm in reply to: sci-fi nerd style red dwarf thred – beware! #125066 Paul MullerParticipant Absolument. Yeah I was just nitpicking. Actually I watched Star Cops the other day and was quite impressed by David Calder’s attempt to convey weightlessness by gently manouvering around his cabin in the style of a crab. Would be interested in reading your story, fanfiction is always quite interesting to see. Did some myself a couple of years back which you can read here: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=32988123&blogID=206513632 but, y’know, don’t – because it’s shit. October 19, 2007 at 3:56 pm in reply to: sci-fi nerd style red dwarf thred – beware! #125062 Paul MullerParticipant What a clever bunch we are. I still haven’t worked out how all ships in the series, including shuttlecraft, manage to generate Earth-like gravity. Isn’t it theoretically possible if you have a sort of ‘spinning centrifuge’ kind of principle, as used by Arthur C Clarke, but none of this would correspond with Red Dwarf so basically doesn’t all the scientific validity of the show go down the shitter more or less straight away?Correct me if I’m wrong, because to be honest, I’m confusing myself. October 15, 2007 at 7:17 pm in reply to: They were gonna sort that out in the dub #125011 Paul MullerParticipant Thanks Tanya, and Thanks John that clears it up, the Starbug thing sounds understandably arse, but still think it would be cool to see because I’m THAT anal. October 15, 2007 at 11:54 am in reply to: They were gonna sort that out in the dub #125008 Paul MullerParticipant ” *cough* Movie test shot! *cough* “ Yeah, looking forward to that. Incidentally, was that the only piece of test footage shot for the film? I prefer the big red red big clenched fist, but don’t mind the pencil, but that might just be because it looks slightly like an ejaculating phallus and I’m pathetic enough to find that sort of thing quite funny. October 1, 2007 at 1:38 pm in reply to: Deliberate Red Dwarf References in Star Trek #124868 Paul MullerParticipant http://www.angelfire.com/wa/fanflicyberbat/star2.html October 1, 2007 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Deliberate Red Dwarf References in Star Trek #124867 Paul MullerParticipant “[The doors open and they walk in, Cat is trailing behind. The holodeck is still it’s empty black with yellow lines] Cat: Yeuch.. horrible. Lister: Why does he say everything is so ugly? Kryten: His ability to like the look of things has been removed” I’d hate to lose my ability to like the look of things… Author Replies Viewing 50 replies - 451 through 500 (of 506 total) 1 2 3 … 9 10 11
