Funny… I was thinking this only the other day.

The opening theme Is Stereo on the remastered i believe – though it’s massively cut short. You also get to hear the first note much better as the volume of the ship noise is greatly reduced compared to the original series opening.

Clunes was good. The supporting cast was very weak.

When Clunes was sarcastic, he was funny, and when he was funny, It felt like Gary’s gotten old.

I seriously think that MBB should return, with Gary & Tony being alot older, but unbelievably imature. THAT would be better than this.

Not sure It will ever come up. The way I see It, Doug will chat with Dave about the outcome of the specials just gone…. ratings, dvds, international sales, etc… And they’ll either say YEAH more! Or thanks that was great. Bye.

Then Doug may aproach the BBC… but I really cant see that happening. Id love to see another channel show some interest in it, but I certainly would be happy If It stayed on Dave. Bloody good channel.

But I agree… why shoot It on HD and not get It out on HD? (Future proof? Yeah ok but at this moment NO-ONE in the public has seen these episodes in HD…that to me Is a waste of money).

I cant stress this enough. I really really really want these episodes on Bluray.

2|Entertain have plenty of Bluray DVDs on the market, so Its not out of their reach. Ive only recently bought a HDTV & PS3… Red Dwarf would be fucking awesome showcase for It, what with the RED camera shooting.

I certainly think Dibley should be permenantley retired. The last one was seriously dissapointing.

Fools & Horses too. Last one was dire.

I do feel that without having THIS MUCH pressure 14,15,16 years ago writing & acting some of the other series was obviously much more comfortable.

Clearly If your a fan, you have expectations, you expect certain things and you will be angry If you dont get what you want. But I dont remember being this way when watching series 6, thinking ‘Rimmers character isnt right here’, ‘that model shot was shit’, etc. Mabey its just me.

Generally, unless its truly shocking, I’ll accept whatever I see on screen for what It Is.
