Well, all of the actual lines are on the Smegadrive of course, but the formatting is not as conducive to your purposes. I was able to get a workable transcript of The Promised Land by just copying all of the captions into a text editor and chopping out the blank spaces using sed but the lines of course are still not neatly delineated. August 10, 2024 at 1:06 am in reply to: Uniforms: which patch, where? #297450 HamishParticipant So I think we’ve decided to do it Rimmer-style. August 10, 2024 at 1:01 am in reply to: Unanswered Questions #297448 HamishParticipant Rimmer needs a cat. If they turn off some lights can they power a hologram cat? I feel like he’d be at least 20% less cunty if he could pet a cat. That might make for an awkward situation for The Cat though. July 30, 2024 at 6:10 am in reply to: Mundane observation dome #297158 HamishParticipant Or, the Series 1-VII Rimmer is still out there being Ace (or is dead and has passed the baton to another Rimmer), and the Dave era Rimmer is a new hologram that Lister chose to bring back after regaining control of the Dwarf, because he realised that he needed the moon to his sun. The nice thing about this idea is that it sidesteps the whole memory thing by allowing for the injection of the actual truth: the creator of the hologram simply wanted him the be this way. July 6, 2024 at 5:16 pm in reply to: __\\\ G&T General Erection Thread ///__ #296413 HamishParticipant I think this is treating the result in slightly over-simplistic terms and ignoring important context around this election … I think you really have to factor in the dynamics of that tactical voting and see it as much as an anti-Tory victory as it is a Labour triumph. It’s no coincidence that the Lib Dems had such a massive boost this time around. The thing is, I don’t think the actual numbers support this. Despite both making massive seat gains both Labour and the Liberal Democrats actually got fewer votes in this election than they managed last time in 2019, or if you are being charitable, they were well within the margin of error of their previous popular vote percentages when factoring in lower turnout. They just treaded water while the Tories drowned. Instead, the parties that did actually significantly grow their votes, Reform and the Greens, were also the least likely to be favoured to tactically defeat the Tories in the greatest number of seats. People were voting with their hearts rather than their head, to flip the script on that tired old Labour refrain. Also see the large support for a number of independents including and alongside Corbyn. July 6, 2024 at 3:38 am in reply to: __\\\ G&T General Erection Thread ///__ #296395 HamishParticipant Strong and Stable Firefox? In terms of referendum results though, I am sure you Brits do have bigger things to argue over. July 6, 2024 at 12:43 am in reply to: __\\\ G&T General Erection Thread ///__ #296383 HamishParticipant No matter which party you support, the amount of distortion to the seat counts in this election is an utter disgrace. No party anywhere in the world is entitled to a majority government with only 33.8% of the popular vote. First-past-the-post is the real villain of the night. In this case, the list of possible candidates in the pod includes Barbara Bellini and the Simulant. “Former” as opposed to “Latter”. June 7, 2024 at 12:39 am in reply to: Unanswered Questions #295680 HamishParticipant I would always assume pre-VI that Rimmer’s program is running from a computer on Red Dwarf considering that’s a plot point in Thanks for the Memory, Yeah, but the introduction of the Light Bee already kind of confuses all that so.
