Mnemonics only work if the clue is in the rhyme!

Anyway, the way I learnt from my mum:

Make two fists and put them together in front of your body.
Start left, count your knuckles & valleys between them, each being one month.

    Left hand
    Jan – knuckle
    Feb – valley
    Mar – knuckle
    Apr – valley
    May – knuckle
    June – valley
    July – knuckle

    Right hand
    Aug – knuckle
    Sep – valley

The outy bits say 31 days and the inny bits say “less than that, usually 30” and the February bit I was just about able to memorize.

I like the title sequence. I’d shorten it, maybe, but not drop it.

I saw Ratatouille in cinema but I remember very little about it. And that is bad.

My favourite’s gotta be Monsters Inc. There is so much in that one that I love. And actually remember.

I loved both of the Toy Story ones when they first came out.

I didn’t bother to watch The Indcredibles when it was on, and saw it only later from DVD and loved it then.

Also, I’m the only person in the world that doesn’t care about Finding Nemo at all. or Cars.

Wall-E was mostly excellent. But there was stuff in it that I didn’t like.

Monsters Inc. will remain my favourite one of all time. :P

    I enjoyed it.

A bit tighter editing would improve it. Like, on proper telly, not everytime a chracter speaks you actually see their face on screen for the whole duration. These things overlap which makes viewing the cuts a little more interesting. I also would have liked more half totals. The effect with the spinning room in the end was good.

Didn’t mind the cg backgrounds. The writing was good, certainly better than anything I could have managed. I’m *very* impressed by the voices (sound quality spoiled it a little though).

So, yeah, if there’s only one thing I would change, it would be the editing / more interesting storyboarding.

I like it better than the previous one. But that wasn’t such a hard task to achieve.

It would be better without the lense flare. Lense flares are stupidly nineties.

Not sure why the tardigram is there at all, but okay… well. After initial resenting I figured I don’t actually mind it much. Except for the lense flare. God do I hate lense flare.

Sorry to hear ya’ll were bullied as kids. But at least you’ve got pretty hair.

I was bullied plenty, and I’m not even ginger (I wish I was).

Given the nerdy nature of this corner of the internet, I think it’s sage to assume that most of us were bullied.

    Can’t we all be friends?

I don’t care much about anyone’s motivation as long as I get to see some animated Dwarf (which may just turn out very funny). I’d prefer short episodes (Episodes of 10 minutes or shorter are not unusual in the cartoon department, even on tv!) but I’ll take longer episodes or a film as well.

So you guys shouldn’t waste time shouting at eadch other but get busy drawing. And everyone else should be constructive or shut up. Okay, so obviously we can’t all be friends, but this is annoying.

    I still think series.

I think getting even one episode together is an enormous effort AND an enormous achievement. I really want to see the stuff, and an entire film is so much more likely to fail. AND you would have to keep people interested for a lot longer. (I have stopped writing in this thread because I’m not all that interested in snippets and test footage…)

Also, working with a team of writers is probably a lot easier when everyone’s writing their own episode instead of a team script. I imagine, anyway.

Why don’t you produce one or two short episodes first, and if everything runs smoothly and you can estimate the time and ressources needed for a larger project better, do a film then?

She’s not his daughter. She’s his (female) clone. Why would she call him “Daddy”?? Just because the episode was given a catchy title begging for attention? MEH.

In any case, she’s a renegade (!) Gallifreyan (!!) with an attitude (!). As rubbish as the episode was – how could this NOT be addressed?

I thought about it some more and the series one / series 1 thing still bothers me.

There are a number of loose ends from RTD’s Who (the Doctor’s “daughter”, Master’s ring, River Song, etc.), one of which Moffat already said he was going to tie up or continue (River Song, yes?) so it isn’t going to be a new show. I’m still hoping for all other loose ends to be tied up as well, eventually. Remember, the continuity bits throughout the first Who episodes were what made me a fan in the first place.

In short – the more I think about it, the less I get it.
